Rita completely wrecks that melee. She doesn’t even break a sweat.
I want to punch whoever designs the Tales sidequest system in the face. Sidequest windows that run out (better have an FAQ ready) with no handy quest tracker, watching stupid, stupid cutscenes for skills (Raven), and unfun, time-wasting warehouse block puzzles make me want to slap that dude multiple times.
I beat the game last night. Someone should have told me to do everything before climbing up that damn tower, though.
Time to get Rita’s necessary skills for grade grinding.
Hey, does the number of times you’ve used an arte carry over to new game + as well, or just the artes themselves?
You can buy those options for grade. They’re both available.
Yes, that’s fucking stupid. I hate the idea of using FAQs, but I don’t like missing every goddamn sidequest because I didn’t know to talk to a specific person, in a specific place, at a specific time, sleep in a specific inn, look for another specific person, after Event-A but before Event-B. Shit is ridiculous. I’m getting Yuri’s dark enforcer costume and the rest of the sidequests can eat a dick.
Also, I hate those damn auto-shields bosses get and the super armor they get from Overlimits. Being slapped out of combos because, “LOLnohitstun” is pissing me off and not being able to hit people on the ground sucks.
Fucking bosses don’t even need overlimit to break the rules of hitstun. (especially human bosses) :shake: Even then, some bosses get overlimit like once every 10 seconds.
I’m so gonna make you blah blah blah tidal wave
Time to buy a turbo controller.
What is the best way to change the weather? I cannot get night to hit the sands of kogorh, and I need more of those asshole orange star gems!
I’ve tried waiting, mats, the inn, flying around, battling, running through the “dungeon” and still nothing.
EDIT:
FUCK BLUE STARS.
To be honest, just keep spamming the mats in one place. The weather will EVENTUALLY change.
Still can’t get night time in sands of kogorh, but I got the weather I needed everywhere else.
Turns out that I was grinding wrong. The superstar enemies have their drops increased on Green FS, while I had been using red the whole time. Anyway, everyone has all their currently available skills now!
You can easily gather a fucking ton of the Star Gems (any color) by going to Nam Cobanda Isle (northwest corner of the world, available after the final dungeon appears) winning an effload of chips at Poker (VERY easy to do), and then going over to the 100 chip machine and spamming until satisfied. You will also become a bijillionaire in the process, as that prize machine also has 30,000 Gald prizes available too.
Then go, make your Last Fencer, and watch Yuri destroy everything with the no hitstun “Glory” skill.
In vesperia:
How do you get overlimit gauge 4?
I’ve found lists of all the titles/costumes in the game:
but I’m still trying to figure out what’s required to get each one. Does anyone have like a list of requirements for each costume or care to share your knowledge?
How long after beating the 80 man melee do I have to wait for the 100 and 200 man melees to open up?
To get the higher level Overlimits, you need to synth the items that give them.
For the 100-Man Melee:
has some end game stuff storywise
[details=Spoiler]Get Flynn’s letter of challenge by going back into Aurnion after seeing all the “night before the final battle” scenes.
Get Nan and Tison’s letter by going to the Forest of Keiv Moc after the final dungeon appears.
Get Gauche and Droite’s letter (you have to have everybody in the group, so do it after the final dungeon appears) by first going to Capua Torim (you’ll see a scene with the two), then to Ehmead Hill (enter through the Capua Nor side). There’s a path that leads off to treasure and a bunch of red flowers on the right (once you enter the wooded part) nearby. A scene will trigger with Raven there.
Then go to Mt. Temza’s entrance, another scene will trigger. Finally, you go to Zaude (where you fought Yeager and Alexei), and fight Gauche and Droite at the place where you fought Yeager. Be sure to steal their swords with Repede, they have some useful skills for Estelle. After you win, you get their challenge letter and can do the 100-Man Melee (the good one with the real prizes).[/details]

Has all the titles and how to get them.
I know what’s needed for OL lv3, but do you know what’s needed for lv 4?
Unfortunately, no. I don’t have access to my 360 at the moment, so I can’t just open the game and tell you, either.
yea i lied about the not going back to this thread since im still not done with the game yet. however 43 hours of gameplay in a span of a week is a little hardcore even for me. this game is still awesome, with the only bad thing being the awful ass sidequests that you can’t do unless you stapled a strategy guided to your head.
Rita is the best character in the game story wise. it also helps that she’s broken as all fucking hell. I must also commend vesperia in doing what JRPG hasn’t done in a while and creating an really interesting protagonist in Yuri.
tales
Spoiler
i just finished the brokeback moment between yuri and flynn and it looks like im gonna hit up the floaty tower thing next
game is great, i love multiplayer. it reminds me alot about Secret of Mana in that aspect as well as
blah
Spoiler
the spirits are named undine and gnome and sylph… lol
gonna be sad when it ends.
Rita…best character…story wise?!
She’s a bitchy, stereotypical tsundere with absoultely nothing to differentiate herself personality-wise from the fifty bijillion tsundere characters before her. Even Kagami from Lucky Star has more facets to her personality than this clown.
You are on the mark about Yuri though, he’s an awesome character in that he’s not fucking Luke Skywalker, he doesn’t have the “hero’s journey” like almost every other JRPG lead in existence…he knows shit. He’s the guy giving advice. He’s the guy who knows how the world works.
BLAH BLAH BLAH, METEOR STORM!
Sorry, did that hurt?
How do you get the overlimit duo item? I’ve already beaten the game but don’t have the item…
