The "Official" Street Fighter 4 PC Thread (read first post)

^^ Thanks for that info. Nice.

Anyone wanna help train together? I’m still learning the ropes of the game and could use some help, because G2 players are handing me my lunch. I main Sagat and just wanna get better at the game, don’t care about beat downs. Handle is KoeniggCCX.

And then you get standard, GT and Ultra within the top 2 bands.

My laptop is 3 GB RAM, 1 GB video card and 2.4 GHz speed, what would be the recommended graphical settings I should use for optimum performance and presentation?
AntiAliasing just slows stuff down BTW.

Muhaha. I can’t believe I have been playing on wireless and haven’t even considered trying a hard line…

I’m sorry…I really don’t understand the need to ask a question like that. Do you own the game? If so did you try different settings? If you don’t have the game have you read the first post or ANY posts in this thread? There is a metric shit-ton of information.

How are we even supposed to help you without knowing what your hardware is ?

turn everything down, then work your way up, you can decide what you like and not. (character quality, background, etc.)

hey guys,
i’ve got a problem with the disconnect bar.

i had internet problems a few days ago, so that i lost my connection 2 times in a fight. i lost over 200 points (which is not that bad, my fault to play with inet probs), but also i got a mark as disconnecter with 6%.

Now, my inet probs are gone and i played a lot of matches, but it’s not lowering. it’s still at 6%.

How can i get to 0% again?^^

i had a d/c 2% because hot weather + graphics on high = Computer crash.

but now my graphics are lowered

so listen up u need to play ALOT ALOT of games. my disconnect was 2% i was playing like 10-20 games or so then bam it decreased to 1%. so yes it is possible just keep playing ur butt off

Is the PC version of Street Fighter 4 arcade perfect??

Hard to say since the framerate depends on your computer hardware. While on an arcade the hardware is always the same.

If your hardware is decent, then pretty much yes, I would say.

If your girls bum is decent, then pretty much yes, I would say

IIRC the PC uses the console versions of the stages not the arcade stages.

What settings are people using for the PC version?

I’m using 1920x1080 / 60fps / FIXED / blur = OFF / hz 60 / vsync = OFF

And in the nvidia CP I have “max pre-rendered frames = 1” (down from 3)

I also use D3DOverrider to force true triple buffering + vsync

Are these the best settings to use in order for input lag to be lowest? I’ll keep experimenting

That’s far from being the truth, the Taito Type X is upgradable.

I recommend using your monitor’s native resolution + default graphics settings (in-game) + no v-sync/triple buffering.
I also recommend you to set the nVIDIA graphics settings to “Let 3D application decide”.
Overclocking you USB polling rate might also help.

hey guys ive been playing this game on pc since it came out and i find that no mtter what time i get on there are little to no Aussie players on??? where are you guys hiding?

i mean im a pretty bad player but id still rather have my ass handed to me by aussies than not play at all.

If I don’t use vsync through D3DOverrider and just play with it globally off, there is weird rippling/tearing that goes on. I’d like to know what the arcade cabinets use since they’re essentially just computers.

Try these:

It’s damn hard to find G2 players… most fun I have is playing against Stellumz though, other guys are pretty scrubtastic.
