Is anyone having problems with GFWL not recording achievements for your account? I think it’s because I first made my account offline, then took it online. An alternate account has been recording achievements just fine.
I’m sorry if this has been discussed already, but is there a fix without starting over and losing all my progress?
Hmm, I have heard of problems like that when you share your gamertag between an xbox and pc, sometimes, but other than that, no idea.
windows live is a funny system.
You’d probably be getting the same input lag on 360/PS3. Sounds like a problem on your end. Make sure you’re getting good FPS and that you’re not playing on wireless or anything silly.
Another scrub in gungrave78… sigh. So many
Anyone on the westcoast up for some games? I’ve decided that i’m maining gouki and need to get some real practice in :l.

hey guys, do you have an idea of the release date for the alternative costume? :wgrin:
Is it just me or does the Steam version run better than the retail version? I have some pretty modest specs, running the Steam version:
moo: os: Microsoft Windows XP Professional - Service Pack 3 (5.1.2600) up: 4days 7hrs 24mins 31secs cpu: Intel® Core™2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz (x86) at 1997MHz (24% Load) gfx: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS 256MB res: 1440x900 32bit 60Hz ram: 1413/2046.4MB (69.07%) [|||||||—]
However, my game runs fine with AA, VSync, and texture filtering off while my friend who has the retail copy (and a better gfx card) is encountering lag even with all his settings at the lowest:
moo: os: Microsoft Windows XP Professional - Service Pack 3 (5.1.2600) up: 12hrs 49mins 7secs cpu: AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ (x86) at 2010MHz (2% Load) gfx: NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 512MB res: 1680x1050 32bit 60Hz ram: 861/2047.5MB (42.06%) [||||------]
Has anyone run into problems like this?
lol, Tiberius won’t even play me anymore because he’s afraid of El Fuerte or something. Keeps kicking me from his game. (Our connection is fine btw, 3-4 bars)
Here’s a message from the last time I beat him:
“Goddamned running Mexican… lag abuse to the fullest, I fuckin’ swear.”
Classy.
I hate gettng knocked down by you too, but it’s nice to play a couple decent furetes now, good shit if you ask me.
Haha, I played an El Fuerte user earlier today. It’s nice to be able to teleport with gouki, haha.
lol tiberious keeps kicking me because everytime we play I win … -_-
What is this, Fuerte hour? <-- Jarjeyes
lol, 9500 better than 7900 ? A entry level card will NEVER be better than a high end card from the 2 previous generations of nVidia videos cards.
Your CPU is also better than his.
He’s also probably trying to run the game at higher settings than he should.
Really? I wonder how nVidia decides on its numbering systems… I know very little about current GFX cards, so when I see a higher number and higher dedicated memory, I assume it’s better.
I usually look at benchmark charts… they tell you a lot more than numbers posted on official websites.
As for the numbering system I have no idea.
By the time I get to that point, I’ve gotten absolutely frustrated at getting to the VS screen, then a couple hits into the match, then boom interrupted, only to find some 2-bar moron looking at me.
As far as my message goes, it’s pretty much true. I don’t remember there being any more than about a second where he WASN’T dashing around the screen like he was being chased by a ravenous cheetah.Had no damned idea WTF to do, and got tired of it.
Can anyone with both a PS3 (or xbox) and the PC version verify that there’s no difference in lag when playing online?
It’s true; lag is inherent in online gaming, but do you think there’s more lag when playing the PC version? I tend to agree with some of the others in this thread that there is a slight bit of extra lag; however, it could be that my opponents, despite their “green” connections, are using inferior hardware, thus causing the slow down. (Seems unlikely though.)
So far, I have had a better experience on the PS3.
It’s not my PC:
AMD Phenom x3 @ 2.1g
4gig 800mhz ram
ATI 4670 512m GDDR3
Reasonable SF4 settings 1900x1080 (no AA, low shadows); never dips below 60fps
Pc Version doesn’t have more lag for me - it’s practically identical to 360. I DO think there is some very strange timing/lag when one of the players has the game on variable framerate. If everyone is on fixed it works just fine.
The numbering is:
100-550: Entry level (not for gaming)
600-750: mid-end (“I don’t care about graphics” gaming)
800-950: high-end (God like performance, ultra expensive cards)
