Do you mind sharing what settings you used? When I tried recording, everything went to slow-motion (kind of like how in the benchmark, going above 60fps sped things up…going to 30 cut the speed in half).
Not sure how to fix that, but I don’t think I’ll be able to play at 30 fps anyway.
I have FRAPS set to Full Size, 30FPS. When I hit my record hotkey, the frame rate in SF4 drops to 30 and stays there, but plays just as smoothly. Maybe this is because I have my framerate set to Fixed in the game options so it skips half the frames each second?

Is it possible to backup and share the saves in this version? I know the saves are copy protected on 360 and PS3, but I haven’t run into any PC game with something like that.
I really, really, really do not want to unlock all the characters, colors, and taunts for a third time.
Given the way the game handles online (each of your frames has to match each of your opponent’s frames), I reckon there’s really no way around it, unless they rewrote the netcode from the ground up (which they’ll never, ever do).
I suspected this would be the case ever since they announced the PC version. Online on consoles is sucky too, but at least on console you know for sure the other guy is playing on a console just like yours. You both are going to have the exact same framerate. The only concern is latency and the input delay that comes with it.
On PC, you have a ton more variables. So not only is latency a concern, you also have to worry about your opponent running the game on integrated graphics on his spyware infested laptop
Well I know I had to go back to old drivers to get my FRAPS running smoothly after updating to the latest drivers. Try out a couple different driver revisions and see if those help?
That really, really sucks. I might have to start a personal blacklist of people to avoid if it gets to be a problem.
Thanks for all your help. I’m going to play with some settings and give it another try. Maybe switching the frames from “variable” to “fixed” will do the trick.
There should be a matchmaking setting so the people without framerate problems can enable that. Like fixed 60 FPS only. They would have to find a way to gray it out if someone’s game is found to be running slower than that at their current settings, maybe integrate and make that benchmark actually do something other than give you a score.
I’d say just order it online. Most places I checked seem to have both sticks in stock, Best Buy.com being one of them.
EDIT: I’m going to be buying an HRAP3 from a friend soon that’s been fitted with new Sanwa buttons. Anyone used the stick with this version? How’s it play?
