There actually is a replay system in this, but I have yet to use it. Basically, you must win Championship matches and have CP in the top 5000 in order to upload a replay of that match for all to download. You are only allowed to have one uploaded at a time, and only one. If you save a replay while already having a replay already saved, you over write it.
That kind of sucks, however you can download an unlimited amount of replays from other people and watch them from the main menu whenever you like. It also has a basic 4-star voting system, but I think that only is for you to judge and doesn’t aggregate other people’s votes (I’m not sure on that yet). You can, like the 360 version SFIV view the input data from both players in a replay as well as change the playback speed.
I don’t know what format the downloaded replays come in, but I’m assuming because there is input data that it is a format that only SFIV can watch, if you wish to record it and upload it on YouTube, FRAPs would be your only way (But now with added input commands)
You can FRAPs the replays you downloaded, and even though it will drop the frame rate down, I believe FRAPs has an option to sync it back up to 60fps for a proper viewing experience.
So game stop getting their copies in today? I did a pre order and would love to be able to play during work this week!

Oh yeah DOH! Thanks for the update.
I was just thinking charge characters would be better for me with keys, when i used a controller on the 360 version i would sometimes jump instead of holding back or forward. I will have to wait and see i guess.
Frapsing a replay seems kinda silly to me. I’d think the “saving replays” question would be more geared toward recording any match you’d like. /shrug
When XFire updates you should be able to record videos as well as stream games live on their site.
Oh… yeah, ah well shrug Tripod mounted handy-cam? ^^
Also something posted in another thread which might be handy information for some:
I hear the PC version forces users to use the LIVE network. Does anyone know how online play works?
Wow, I’m dumb. Forgot about this! I always promoted Xfire because it got such a bad rep for being “useless” but being able to stream SF4 matches live is going to be sexy.
I remember reading in an interview that Capcom will be considering Xbawks/PC compatible multiplayer in the future. (I’d have to go back and look for it, if you want the sauce)
Seems to me they simply didn’t finish it for launch, but didn’t want to commit to anything.
I would heart Capcom forever if they put it in. Here’s hoping…
I’ll be seeing you guys online
It’s not out in the UK yet, hits the stores this friday I have heard. The demo ran pretty sweet on my PC and the gfx look so much better then the PS3 version so this is a definite purchase for me.
Can’t wait to test it out!!!
It’s out?
Wasn’t it supposed to be for July 7th?
My guess is that they’re waiting to see how many people buy the game before committing to any level of support.
I’m hoping worst case scenario is that SFIV doesn’t sell well on the PC, and they just put fewer people on task of working on the compatibility. D:
Please don’t let me down Capcom.
PAL Territories (Europe, Australia) get it 2nd of July (earlier than everyone else, FOR ONCE!) and NA I believe gets it on the 7th.
The game was supose to be out:
Microsoft Windows
JP July 2, 2009
EU July 3, 2009
NA July 7, 2009
But since capcom shipped on… 26th or so… some people got it early from shops like, Mom and Pops, some got it somehow… but yea its 3rd for Europe and 7th for US.
Dunno why but 3/4 PC SF4 threads have been closed, 2/4 cause it was piracy talk,
And thats fine but why close the 3rd one?
Give Pc some love… jesus… are you jealous or something?..
GameStop in NA claims that shipments will go out today. But I’m not expecting anything until the 8th or later.
It’s Christmas all over again!
So, has Capcom given any lame excuse for the lack of proper replays? Like, “hardware limitations”?:chainsaw:
