It’s not like Falco is GERM’s new main char or something but he relies on him in big, serious tournaments.
You know it’s a bad comparison, so why bring it up? usa is on a higher level of play than japan. do you know how much easier it is to beat a fox as link when they don’t wave shine you across the stage? or when they decide to approach with almost nothing but full jumps? or when you don’t play on stages like ps, bf, or ys?
give the us link players a chance to play the guys aniki beat, and they’ll laugh because they don’t crouch cancel a d-smash. they’ll play with no sweat because japan plays fox SLOW.
anyways this argument is pretty pointless seeing as either side can’t really prove anything. but for my 2 cents, azen has the best link.
i did horrible tonight playing smash. Me and ny friend played teams, and all kinds of random shit was happenening to me. We lost for 4 hours straight. And i chose every character possible…This game is good. But when stupid shit happens to me I transform into a scrub temporarily, and will say this game is garbage…which it is sometimes due to “I know I shoulda one what the fuck just happened why did I go flying”. but its still very good…yeah. i want to believe that.
I named you the people that Aniki beat. 3 of them were in the Top7 while GERM got 17th using Falco. ^^
And yeah I agree, most japanese Foxes are played slow but you have to keep in mind that only ONE of those slow Foxes plays on japanese top level (Masashi). The next best Fox-player Japan has would be thunders who definitely doesn’t play a slow Fox.

Japan players are good but everybody knows Japan is definitely not on same level as the US overall.
Well, that’s also what the US-players thought one year ago: They all improved a lot, no way Japan could beat them. But then 6 japanese players came over (who except CJ weren’t even considered absolute top) and 4 of them placed in the top7.
Sure USA did improve since then but don’t think that Japan didn’t. ^^
Dude those Aniki vs Ken Matches are over 2 years old, and they were friendlies. Anyone would tell you Ken doesn’t try near as hard as he does in friendlies. Theres also a reason why aniki doesn’t win anymore and why fox’s rape his link, they learned to beat him.
Skler is an amazing link player on the east coast who does extreamly well in tourneys.
ANiki just doesn’t place well at all anymore I saw recent matches of him not to long ago and he just couldn’t take a match off this fox player. Japan just isn’t as good as the US.
Anyway my notion that Skler was the best was partially joking LOL, him and Germ is just two close to call and atm Germ has the best link. (I haven’t seen anything recent from trevyn at all.)

In the last tournaments Aniki mainly picked Samus and Sheik but of the few Link-matches he won every single one.
You cannot determine the whole skill of a top-player just by watching his vids.
If Azen lived in Japan and you watched a vid of him, I’m sure you wouldn’t say he can keep up with the US-players (he isn’t technical at all). 
Technical fox’s don’t exist over there, BS is considered one of their best players and guess what happened to him at oc3? he got 17th. The second he faces one of our top players he gets raped.

CJ did win a majority of his friendlies and everybody knows that CJ sandbags as well as Ken in friendlies. ^^
He’s more technical then masashi thats for sure, but he isn’t some really technical player. >_>
Well, he’s able to do waveshines (not sure about drillshines) across the stage (there was an excerpt of an old match between thunders and a Link player showing this) and he invented the thunders-combo (for those who are new to smash: Shine->WD->jab->SHFFLed u-air->whatever against characters who fall from the shine).
Furthermore Ken named him Fox player with the most tech skill 2 years ago (I know he was exaggerating but still…) and I don’t think he became a scrub in this area since then. ^^
Ummm… if he was exaggerating then the fact that this was 2 years ago makes it worse.

Even if he was exaggerating thunders was still one of the most technical Foxes. So if everyone improved in terms of tech skill (the Americans maybe more than the Japanese) you can’t say that thunders is just more technical than Masashi, but not technical overall.
