Sure. Just watch some vids of Aniki (arguably world’s best Link-player).

i play with link and i cannot seem to get better for some reason…
At one point (like one year ago) Aniki was the best player in Japan with using Link and Samus (mainly Link).
Also look at OC2, 4 of the 6 Japanese made it into the top 7 and all of them got beaten by Aniki one or two monthes before OC2 (well exept maybe for CJ).
And yes, I know that this was one year ago but it’s the only comparison we can make (since there were 6 Japanese attending).
The GERM and Trevyn are good but they’re nowhere near Aniki’s level.

well… you should be good with angles and know exactly where to throw the bomb. once you connect its totally improv
Germ is better IMO. He helped to develop many of the current tactics that used with Link. Not trying to downplay Aniki or anything because he’s amazing but his style is also very linear and hasn’t evolved as much as Germ’s. Predictability is a liability in Smash.
Germ uses wavelanding, WDing for accurate spacing, advanced bomb tactics and his offense is more unpredictable.
Germ developed many Link-tactics, yes, but they all aren’t an absolute necessity to play Link on a high level.
Aniki also uses wavelanding as you can see in [media=youtube]QPdF5kmtK8k"[/media]. WDing is also not very useful with Link, you can achieve the same effect by DDing (that’s what Aniki does).
If Aniki had a predictable offense he wouldn’t beat people like Ken with Link. ^^
