I’d say Ganon is all about being able to consistently space fairs. Getting a knockdown can result in huge damage because it could lead to dair -> fair depending on the situation. Upairs and backairs can be shorthopped and then jumped out of before you land, which is great for mix ups and pressure.
Reverse upair is a great edgeguard on a lot of people.
Oh yeah… and you want to jab after most air attacks. His jab is easily one of the best in the game. His forward tilt also has awesome range, but it’s slow.
As far as recovery goes, he has a great one. However, actually getting back on can be tough at best. Use down B to get another second jump. If you’re recovering against certain attacks that are going to hit you right at the ledge, you can tech the ledge.
For Luigi. Learn to wavedash very well, that should be about 99% of your ground movement. Don’t be discouraged when Marth and Fox destroy you. And stay the hell away from final destination. Other than that playing Luigi is very simple. His technical shit isn’t hard, it’s all mixups and spacing.
I’m the leader of one of the top crews in NY (The best state for smash, agruable) The I.H.N.C. Crew. Not trying to sound cocky because im not AT ALL or am I an Elitest. We place high/win ny tourneys and can compete/beat some pros such as Wes (Best Samus in the world), Dire (Best G&W in the world), Bum (Best DK in the world), etc.
I’m knowledgeable of match ups, some frame data, all techniques/techskill, anything really. I came here because im now playing secondary fighting games such as MvC2 GG and 3s.
For Luigi, learn to wavedash to move. Use nair, wavedash to dsmash and grab to up throw for combo starters and you can extend these combos with nair, down b, uair, more grabs, dsmash, usmash. You can combo people for a LONG time just watch The Green-ish Machine #2 on YouTube, a combo video by Ka-Master
For recovery use quick side b’s, learn to buffer your down b’s for recovery, save jump for 2nd to last, then up b if needed
With Luigi, you have to do a down b on the ground before you can use it to recover. Just anytime you do one you’ve saved it. When recovering hit down b and smash on down b as fast as you can for much needed recovery. He’s a little hard for newbies, start with a top tier character to learn all the game has to offer
Yes I know some people do not consider wes “pro” anymore. But hes still a legend. :wonder:
Dire and mike g haven’t been doing anything your right but they are really good, legendary players.
Also I didn’t even mention KF with killafox, acemarth, warriorknight, dj nintendo, etc. which are also good. Killafox got 7th at MLG and Bum got 4th. People don’t have to be doing things to be good or pro status. Did you know this random jiggz player named Mango beat M2k at Evo? Hardly anyone has heard of him.
Even without PC and Bum, NY is full of big names and you cant deny that.
I’d say ny is probably around the same level as md/va or any other big state/region. They have their best players, and then they have some pretty good players.
Luigi is the game ender shoryuken mega combo, I say he does it better than Ryu
Wavedash into either single jab or spot dodge an attack, into sweet spot up-b to not only set your opponent on fire but kill them pretty easily at high percents
Just rape
Also speaking of Luigi, I got this t-shirt from a hyphy store in the mall
