The comics were pretty funny.
I LOLed at those comics. I, too, got stuck at that exact spot on Act 2 of Carnival Night years ago.

Shows Shadow and and more of the game in action…along with a violin heavy version of ‘Knight on The Wind’
no…that design is terrible
Shadow still reminds me of Metaknight for some reason.
And I still think this looks kinda fun… just yet again a really :wtf: as a Sonic game. How hard is it to just listen to the fans and stop trying all this random not-Sonic stuff? This almost looks more like what I would expect from a 3D Rocket Knight Adventures game, just like Werehog felt more like a 3D Ristar. Fun, but not Sonic.
People got stuck there?
After Dark Void comes out, Rocket Knight should be a no brainer for Konami. That game has gameplay suited for 3D. I would prefer the old Spunky but Cute Sparkster design. The one from the sequels looked too teenage and thin. The first one had a Disney-esque feel to it.
I hope you are right FC… I would love a new Rocket Knight Adventures game. I also prefer the Sparkster from the first game, but I have a funny feeling Konami would go with the later design though as it would probably look more appealing to current-day youths.
oh fuck yeah man. That section in Carnival Night that you can’t go back out once you leave and there’s just one of those red and yellow barrel things. I remember the first time getting to the section and throwing the biggest ass fit because I had NO idea what I was supposed to do…but I knew had something to do with the barrel. I jumped up and down it to try to get momentum I tried pressing all the buttons and stuff and everytime I would just get time out in that area. Took a long time to figure out it was something that simple…definitely one of those moments where you feel dumb as shit after learning what it is.

contains Tails, Blaze, Shadow, Knux, and Amy in their uh…get ups
This game…looks…really good. I’m hoping more gameplay shows up and more hands-on by next week. It’ll probably get washed over in the sea of SFIV hype but I’ll still post up whatever if I catch it.
I think it looks fun to play for sure. But again it still falls under the :wtf: Sonic category… and Tails not being playable is utter bullcrap. Knuckles has the best outfit of the playable characters, but I’m still more interested in playing Blaze.
I think it’s interesting how they uh…‘armored’ all of the characters shoes. I actually think a lot of the designs aren’t that bad really. I think it looks fine for right now but again…the horrible endless loop is still present…so I want to know all the info I can about it and take everything into account.
Ok so as of right now…considering the fact that Secret rings was about 7.0 material and this game is a mesh of daytime unleashed plus SR with sword plus the info that’s been gathered so far. I’m expecting the game to be around the 7.2-7.5 area. If they tighten the game’s gimmick up then this may actually be the first sonic game in awhile to get 8.0. I’m not expecting this game to get any further than that and that’s fine for now…especially considering that it’s a side series game. Let’s see if my theory holds up…
Edit:
goodness gracious people are hating on the game hard lol…can’t say I blame em.
The first console game to get an 8 in a while. IIRC at least the first Rush got an 8, and I think Rush Adventure did too. I’m also pretty sure the Advance series scored fairly high too, but don’t recall for certain. People just seem to ignore/forget the handheld entries.
I don’t ignore/forget the handheld entries cause it’s usually a given that those are 8.0 and above material usually anyway. I was assuming most knew I was talking console wise.
I’m a sonic fan and even played the fuck out of Chaotix for the 32X. Has anyone else? Great game.
I want to. That and Sonic CD I have yet to play.
Though I dislike Gamespot I went to check out what their impressions were…and apparently they believe the game ‘doesn’t look as good as Secret Rings’ which made me lift up an eyebrow.
It’s fun, but I wouldn’t call it great. The level design is a bit bland, not horrible, just kinda uninspired. The Ring Bungie is fun to mess with and can actually pull off some really great stunts when you get the hang of it, but the learning curve is really high and didn’t need to be. Most of the boss fights are fun. Soundtrack is good. Vector is an awesome character. And that new item that makes it so the next time you get hit, you drop one giant ring instead of all of them going everywhere, and then you go pick the giant ring up again to get all your rings back… that was clever.
Sonic Megamix is a must play game. It’s a hack of the first Sonic the Hedgehog. There are multiple versions but 4.0 let’s you play as the most characters. On top of that, not only can you access your super forms with the Chaos Emeralds, they can be turned on and off like a like switch. Music is also tight.
