The sidestep does not move you to a certain segment (such as Sonic and Secret Rings), but it does move you a specific amount. You can go left and right during the stage with the analog stick too. Honestly though, when there is a straight-away, it’s best to just hold up and sidestep when you need to.
I got this at home waiting till the weekend to tear into it. About how long is it? (xbox360)
Just nabbed the 360 version…gonna beat the wii version then work on this one…
I really want the PS3 version. Need more daytime stages.
One thing I have to say about the Wii version at least, I kinda wish that they had balanced the Day and Night stage distribution a bit better. I hate that it’ll be like 6 Night stages in a row, then 4 Day stages in a row. I wish they had done something more along the lines of you just going continent by continent, so that the swapping would be more regular and you wouldn’t have to do as long a stretches of either.
Also, Spagonia boss was awesome.
WIP Sonic Unleashed music game rip
http://www.shadowhaxor.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=1602
Edit:
suppose this will hold me over till the full thing is out.
Edit 2:
Wikipedia just stated that the japanese versions of Sonic Unleashed are getting delayed to up the quality…
and the official soundtrack won’t be out till Jan. 28 in japan
And thus the real speed runs start to pop up…
Wind Mill Isle Act 2 ‘2:11:98’

They should have added the leaderboards on this game for speed runs…
I need to register for that site. Got a direct download?
you should register to shadowhaxor’s site. He’s good peoples and he comes here as well.
I doubt this will work but here

Tried to register. Get white screen…dont worry about it. It’ll show itself soon enough.
If its true that they’re giving the game a tune up then I’m definately going to wait on the PS3 version.
in japan…I don’t know how much they’re tuning up on ps3 but I doubt they’re doing much to it.
I’ll be living in Japan by then so my circumstances are a little different than most. Plus ps3 is regionless for ps3 games.
Daytime Cool Edge has the best music in this game so far I think.
How is Eggmanland’s music Indy?
Its got a sort of drum and bass feel to it. Theres this creepy overtone throughout the whole track but plenty of drive to make you to suit the speed of the level. I’ve got to say that after trying so many times on the timed challenge I was cursing that track but now that I’ve cooled off its one of my favs.
Edit: at the very least I’m gonna go rent the 360 version today.
I’m finally at the last battle…this is the first time I’ve actually heard the theme of the game in some form now. IMO…it needs more EPIC. Me trying to rush through the end so me and Rioting Soul could play HD Remix didn’t help that i was getting tagged by like everything in the stage lol.
Edit:
Oh yeah…and did anyone else hear Punch Out!! music during one of the final boss battles?
Edit2:
Chip: BIIIIIIIIG OOOOOOOO!!! SHOW TIME!
Edit3:
yeah…Jun Senoue had nothing to do with the sound track at all…but I did see Fumie Kumatani in there. He did a majority of the Shadow stages in SA2.
Ha! Beat the time for an S rank on Egg Lancer by over a minute!
EDIT: Wow… Eggmanland is hard. I failed that mission to collect 280 rings so many times.
EDIT2: OMG the time trial is crazy.
Yeah…its real hard. Trust me you’ll get so good at that stage that you’ll clear that time trial with a minute to spare. Yay I can finally discuss the last boss, maybe!
don’t know if you folks have the Sonic Unleashed OST, but if not, get it.
It’s good stuff.
Yeah I found doing the Werehog levels the best for Sun/Moon coin hunting, also helps to give the professor a lot of souvenirs.
The actual Eggmanland stage is hard as fuck. I actually beat time trial the first time around but I beat it by .569 of a second before I failed it. AND I died once on that twisty road near the end. Son of a bitch…
