The GBA and the DS sonic games are the only way to get old-school Sonic with no gimmicks. So, yeah, they are good.

no…Bioware or 2k was nowhere near BK. That was Sega. To BK’s credit the game could have been much better but the execution was soooo fuckin bad.
The only game Bioware did that was sonic related was Sonic Chronicles for the DS…still waiting on that sequal.
I can only wish the worst death possible if everything falls into place and there’s one gimmick that makes this game fall flat on it’s face again. Let Jun Senoue and the others from SA2 and Unleashed do the soundtrack.
Sega group: SWEET! everything seems to be in working order…we got the speed, we got the platforming, we brought back the shields, the rings have more of a use than just collecting and we’ve made the final boss battle EPIC with Crush 40 belting out music in the background again.

480 is the highest wii will go and even then that’s really a moot point concerning this game. The consoles that this game will show up on haven’t been announced but I don’t have much doubt that it’ll probably show up across all of them…I’m thinking Wii ware, XBLA, PSN depending upon how much effort they’re really planning on putting into this.

Bub and Bob are cool and nostalgic and stuff…but if I have to watch another game character poll end with Link VS Mario, we BETTER have some Sega representation in the mix.

I don’t know about Sega deserving better but Sonic’s been catching the short end of the stick for awhile now. I’m not on speaking terms with Sega and until they can pull their head up out of their ass development wise.

It’s backwards compatible with Sonic 3. It also locks on to 2 and 1, but due to them removing the old save structure you can only manual save. You can’t go back and replay the levels with emeralds you’ve collected. Blame that on Backbone Entertainment’s semi-sloppy ports. I don’t know why they feel the need to re-do menu’s

Those pieces from needlemouse look generic and uninspired. Which was cool on the genesis due to system limitations but yeah, for a re-release with modern technology, give me something with life.
