Working for me.
Anybody notice that people who use Zen are always button mashers?
YIKES.
sadly yes…i’m a semi-button masher with zen …
BECAUSE NO 1 still understand the game … including me
instead of button mash , i abuse throw …tick throw hehe
Eh? Zen? Mashing? Aran? Chaining? Broken guard? Crushed dreams?
I would say the opposite. You have to be VERY careful with Zen, as (unlike most ‘main’ characters in fighters), he’s not really that safe after his moves. Many of his specials have high recovery / startup time, so you need to pick your shots more than you would think.
At least that’s what I’ve found from playing friends in #1.
Well the ones I play like to abuse a wakeup, ummm, I think its his DP, it does a small tornado and u can go into a punch. Dunno exact names.
Very annoying because that move has invincibility at startup and comes out fast. It happens before you even know it.
So, yeah, can we get some strategy talk in this thread?
I second the dear hell out of 667’s Zen comment. My last post was just a line of incoherent messages in the form of questions.
In all seriousness, I don’t see Zen as a masher at all. Unless maybe the folk you play are mashing out chains and you are walking into them. Almost all of his moves have ample start up if thrown out in the nude. I don’t even mess with the fireball unless I am using it as a followup ground hit or after a charge so I can bait the jump. His QCB+K is okay, but I rarely find it landing (once again, mix up the charged version so they can hopefully eat hit 2 of it and initiate a juggle). The elbow is just an end of the combo tack on to super cancel. But the dp is a pretty good wake up if you KNOW the other chap (Aran anyone?) is being a greedy son of a bitch. But the problem with the DP is it’s recovery after the move, regardless of whether or not you add the extension. So if blocked or whiffed…oof. So Nick, I just recommend after knockdown, if they are indeed dping that much on wake up, just walk up and block or take a dash back. I am pretty sure Kaya in particular could dash in, out, and back in during this situation.
Unless you are Orville…then just throw that shit.
Cleveland motherfuckers won’t throw down in Rumble Fish, they refuse to play anything outside Tekken. :lame:
I got my fliptop and my rumblefish, Aran will be back!
In response to that Aran SK question: Yeah, it’s a close SK. And don’t get the idea that it’s his weak spot for an Impact break, any intelligent aran player is gonna stop that from happening, as long as they’re paying attention
I wish I could play TRF2
will trf2 be coming to console?
Hikari, Garnet Greed and The Scarfed girl whats her name?? All rule. Seeing her Unblockable kicks ass!!! Yes I concur any word on TRF2 coming to PS2?
wow i didnt know they make a character named BEATRICE.
I’m famous ^_^;;
Is there any fresh combo which deal over 50% damages? Damn this game is good. But one thing that is not worth is the numbers of characters you can select. There are only 12 characters. That sucks. I own it. It costs me $65. But the link combos is not so much fun with you just keep doing it like a chain combo.
any word on TRF2 coming out on console?
^ That is a really good question.
Any more Zen strats? I’m a semi newb at this game but I like this fool alot but hes hard to play with. His power ups are a almost a must to have at all times. And Yes all his moves have bad recovery on them. I don’t know what to do with him but dash/jump in.
Any word of a RF2 console release yet???
Theres no release date set ATM
So I just got ahold of this game and since the last post was a long ass time ago can some one post up some up to date material. I picked up garnet mostly cuz of her mesmerizing jugs and she seems a little similar to johnny. I have yet to try out anyone else yet since like I said I just got a hold of the game and I have next to 0 knowledge on TRF series.
You are way too late. No one plays this game anymore.
