I kno I’m late as hell but where can I find more info on this game? I guess it’s pretty much dead in the fg community because I can’t even find any youtube vids of RF1. I want to know if it’s a quality fighter before I drop $50 on it.

Ok, first thing to know is that it doesn’t work with Swap Magic or HD Advance.

Secondly, everyone plays Rumble Fish 2 now.
However, you may be able to find some of Alergenesis’ stuff on Rumble Fish 1.

OMFG this game owns!!! Sure enough the original doesn’t work with SW but I got a copy and…wow. Not many characters but the ones included get the job done. Boyd is pimp, but I’m interested in playing Typhon. Praying that TRF2 gets a console release. Now is as good a time as any.

Oh, and are Greed and Hazama banned in tourneys?

Who the hell knows? I believe it’s only available for atomiswave arcade. But like I said, since almost every fighter is getting a ps2 release nowadays, it’s as good a time as any. They’re even releasing a SamSho collection for Christ’s sakes.

I hate that I just now started playing this game but it’s good that a few guys in our GG scene have been playing it a bit over the last few years. I don’t hear anything about it or TRF2. It’s like someone dropped a nuke on the scene or something. And I just read through this whole thread and this seems to be the premier forum/thread for it, which is unfortunate.

First time playing yesterday and got my ass kicked by some guys who play Kaya, Garnet, and Aran. Even by a first time ever player like me who started playing with Orville, but that guy is just a great fg player in general. Probably stick with Typhon because he seems to have the potential to be annoying. Would be nice to have some discussions, strats, whatever, because I don’t understand where everyone went. I mean, guys still talk Garou and KOF 98 even lol. Let’s get this Fish back in the water!! lame

I’ve seen japanese tournament footage where both characters were being used so I guess they are allowed.

I’m still waiting for the PS2 release but I guess Dimps is too busy with DBZ games atm.
