The Official Ranting Thread

Although technically Toro doesn’t even need to do anything BUT the loop. Simply do a move with your point character, cross cancel into Toro and then just infinite until dead.

This game is shit. Especially online. No one is gonna be playing this by the time TTT2 and the fucking locked characters come out. Fail move Capcom. Rant complete

I feel the same way, although I do have several complaints about the game.

I’ve gone back to SFIV to practice my overall fighting game fundamentals because I am trying to improve in the overall genre, but I’ll gladly come back if the game sees improvements. I remain optimistic because the core of the game is something I really like, but I do feel it’s a little too flawed for me to take seriously, for now anyway.

apparently, the guys don’t age too except heihachi.

kazuya, paul, ganryu, lei and law is like what? 50+?

but yeah, nina looks like an old hag in this game.

Except they just age backwards in Heihachi’s case like in TTT2

Yeah, I’ve started to learn T6 just to play TTT2 when it comes in sept. I’ll continue playing sfxt because I believe Capcom might fix the game, but seeing the DLC gems makes me think Capcom is actively making things worse. At this point it’s not enough with freezing the timer during cinematics and nerfing top tier to fix this game.

are people really moaning about a mid teir character with no neutral game having damage options? and I see below people are moaning about a 20 frame overhead being safe on this same character

Christ

remove her sweep combo and what exactly has she got , people like you got. gen nerfed for no reason

It really is her best option. She’s doesn’t have much. Its fine as is.

I’m sick of safe moves. Honestly its one of the main reasons the game is unbalanced. Some characters really need some shit to be more punishable. Blah blah bitch bitch. Hate/love this game.

I personally think the game is alright, despite some glaring flawa. It’s a respectable fighter and a fun one.

I’m also starting to think it’s not for me. I play Sak in SF4 because she’s the only character in that game I have serious fun with. Aggression, resets, frame traps, heavy execution loops, all that stuff is so damn awesome. In SFxT there is literally NONE of that and it just doesn’t feel fun to me at this point. Not a bad game, just I think I have a lot of games to choose from right now, so maybe putting aside SFxT won’t kill me.

I’ll just leave this here

The only fun I get in this game is using Juri because she is so much more fun & faster as compared to SSFIV. I’m trying to use Kazuya as her partner but so far its just not working out.

But other than that, online is pretty screwed…it can be lag free then all of a sudden everything slows down.
And ppl turtle-ling waiting for the timer to run out annoys me to death.

I guess I’ll explain it again: I replied to a post complaining of infinites/abusable loops as a major issue with the game. I pointed out that in mvc3, Akuma had an infinite on 12 characters and it did not break the game. Telling us that he was mid tier is redundant because I only brought him up to point out that it didn’t break the game.

this game is so fucking awful

Epic rant…

So I’m thinking…

-Lower jump arcs.
-Make rolls cost 1 bar to use (meter management comes into play and risk-reward).
-Make some moves less safe.
-Turn off timer during cinematic moves.

What do you guys think?

why do you want the jump arcs lowered? something to do with the cross ups?

Silly question… But in the heat of battle it is hard to judge. Are jump arcs universal? Dependent on character? Some peek sooner or later? This question of course disregarding gems/super jumps.

No. Everyone jumps at different peaks, arcs and velocities.

Sounds like people want hyper hops in this game. That or everyone jumps like Vanilla Crane Gen.

Ahh… Thanks, easy too assume, just did not want to speak without truth.

Now… Lower jump arc across the board? I just don’t understand the want for this or see how a lower jump arc can benefit. Especially w/ rolls being in the game for wake-up jump in’s
