Just got done playing SSFIV and i have to say it’s a thousand times better than SF x TK. Maybe the game will get better for me when they add CODY. Combos are so easy and annoying in SF x TK.

was just in trial mode w/ Vega and Dan appeared telling me that the combo in trial 13 is a DLC quick combo I can purchase. Fuck you Capcom, that in game advertising for shitty dlc is bullshit.

I think I might be mostly done with SFxT. I’m fed up seeing the same characters online and anyway, who can blame them?
Capcom made sure that the Mishimas and Shotos got all the tools in the game. It becomes too much of a guessing game with the high/low blockstrings and the risk/reward feels off.
I might play Endless but not as often as I was playing Ranked.

Sigh. Ryu is too broken. Nerf his damage, eliminate invincibility frames on DP. Make him average like he is supposed to be.

Its nice that they gave us 12 colors but it actually looks kind of goofy to have two people with the EXACT same shade of red as the primary color next to each other. It really shows that we need a rgb color slider to make them slightly different…

I really dont understand what capcom was hoping would happen by not giving us the colors at launch. All they are doing is cockblocking their fans. Casuals wont come back for more colors once theyre done with the game, and colors are not extra content worth holding on to.

Hell yeah. The only DP I can respect is Julia’s with that humble startup and all. Otherwise, I can never understand putting invincibility on a non-EX special with quick startup and high damage. Give it a great hitbox and junk but enough with the invincibility.

I’m bitter because I never got into a character with a DP :confused:

Fuck Hworang and his bullshit overhead.

The invincibility is needed for it to be a good anti-air. Quick startup doesn’t matter… ask Dudley in SF4.

And Ryu’s DP is known for being THE anti-air in the SF series, so… it will always have invincibility.

This is why I hate it, its made unfair by ‘tradition’ and as DP is THE anti-air Capcom are scared to make it weaker than is was years ago. This is the reason you see frickin’ Seth players wake up SRKing as they know SRK’s are fricking strong and reliable no matter who or what game its being used in.

The game is funder-mentally broken, i hope that everyone switches to a real fighting game thats coming out soon :smiley:

I hate Heihach, I hate Heihach. It seem like everyone is using him and I fucking hate his mass damage and his 25 Sec combos he have. I can text my wife eat chip and he’s still doing his combos. I hate this new scrub option select where guy just mash out low,med,high for launcher everytime it’s fucking annoying. Other then that I enjoy playing this game.

Because they have all the tools in the game. Overheads, cross-up tatsus, fireballs, damage etc. Do they even really have bad match-ups?

Is this just in reference to Heihachi or in general? I am sick to death of playing guessing games with Kazuya.

What happen to this thread? Are we really ranting about people trying to win?

In general, and yes Kazuya another one of the most used character. I often try to zone Kazuya and so he’s not all up on me because I hate guessing his low and overhead too.

I don’t begrudge people trying to win; I’ve just become tired of playing the same match-ups and the guessing games that some characters seem to devolve into.

If we’re talking about the hit and run players then yes, because it’s not entertaining, even when you win.

Ugh, sounds awful by design then. I think that just makes it that more rant-worthy.

To be honest, all the deceptive overheads and what not… you guys should be able to sniff them out after eating a few of them online.

Not really CAPCOMS FAULT at this point. The Tekken characters especially were given tools to retain an essence of their 3D counter parts with high lows. But they’re hella slow in this game. Once you see the first two connect on block, a lot of times the third incoming hit is going to overhead.

Consider this, if you’re being pressured by Heihachi, the f.LP goes into either low or overhead. It’s okay to eat the low for 60 damage even if you block high, he cannot really combo off it. But eating the overhead leads from 60 damage into a possible 300+ damage BnB and tag cancel combos which is something you never want to open yourself to. So weigh some of your options and learn the patterns and what some of these moves look like. Like I said, take a few of this early on and you’ll be less subjective to them in the future.

Regarding heihachi.:

The main tool bad Heihachi’s use to mixup is his fLP> string where he can either go high, low, or blockstring. If he ever does that… DP him. This eliminates that mixup entirely as it forces him to do fLP>LP>Dragon breath which you can backdash away almost for free.

Now a good Hiehachi will use his other overhead, which is faster, leads to bigger combos, and crushes standing attacks. That one is a little trickier.
