To be honest with you I saw more people saying they didn’t want Sakura than they said they wanted Sakura/Karin.
I like how you complain about characters only being added for fanservice and then get upset that Sakura and Elena aren’t in the game.
Here goes:
-The game is a visual shitfest. It’s probable the ugliest game I’ve seen since the SFEX series. And no doubt the ugliest FG of this generation thus far.
-The music is pure shit. I thought SFIV had bad BGM but damn. Did Ono write the music as well?
-WTF is with Capcom and offensive play=character with some form of a dive kick? GTFO with that nonsense.
-Where did Hwo’s random ass kicks come from since nothing like that is in Tekken nor Taekwondo.
-I thought SFIV’s color 11 and 12 were some low tier shit. Pandora colors is something a 3 year old child must have thought of.
-Best thing about the whole abomination is that trailer with Rufus v Bob. That’s it.
-Scramble mode looks like vomit. Looks like a mode for mashing buttons.
-Ono is a crazy mugen fanboy given money to throw away.
-Best things about SFxT are… uh. Kazuya’s launcher? Sure. Why not.
-Slap to the face of the SFIV Cammy fans. Lost that TKCS eh? Don’t worry. It’s in that game you don’t want called SFxT.
-What kind of lazy ass shit is this? Even the damn font is identical to SFIV’s.
-Worst character reveal trailers I’ve ever seen.
-Water effect theme is ass. The paint wasn’t bad for SFIV but cut this shit out.
There is nothing, NOTHING at all that can hype me for this game. WTF is wrong with you Ono/Capcom? You present to me the idea of running a team of Kazuya/Akuma and I walk away? Something wrong happened there.
Of course, you’ll see more of Karin, just for the pure fact that she hasn’t been in a game since Zero 3… but when Karin was mentioned, Sakura was mentioned as well, 'course to be her partner to face Asuka/Lili.
I like how I’m not upset that Sakura and Elena aren’t in the game, but more upset at Ono for not pleasing the “fan’s demand.”
Oh, and I also like how Elena was actually leaked.

Rant : The game looks ugly, Did Ono do the visual design as well? Because that is exactly what it looks like ; Ono if he was too lazy to do new models for the Street Fighter 4 cast.
There’s a difference between overreacting and making obvious concerned statements about a game that we once were excited about.
Yes there will be element’s in the game that make it hardcore competitive. Its mostly only the core mechanics ATM.
However the competitive elements of SFxT are clearly overshadowed by the Kiddish / Humorous/ Party Like/ Causal Friendly (lack of better terms) elements of the game. From the Visuals of some characters, the 90’s Pop GoGo Club Music they got on some stages, and some of the absurd gameplay mechanics.
Also, you should check out what some people had to say about the NYC build of the game.
Yes the build is not final but still read about what they had to say. The game is not turning out so pretty so far. Prayfully, they’ll make some excellent changes to the game. Since all early builds are always half-ass at times. But besides that the finalized shit they already announced about the game already makes it a complete turn off for some people which are :
- Cant turn gems off
- 100+ Gems
- Store Exclusive Gems ( Probably Banned Until there all released for DLC)
The only thing thats keeping me interested for the game ATM and a few other people I bet is some of the characters in the Cast.
I love how people hate on Ono. If it wasn’t for him this game would not even exist, it was his idea.

It wasn’t just Ono’s idea, it was also Harada’s. If it wasn’t for Harada, Namco wouldn’t have agreed to cross Tekken and SF IMO. I was looking forward to TKxSF, but now I’m REALLY looking forward to it.
The blame for SFxTK’s weird and unusual ideas (Gem,Pandora) can not be blamed only on Ono. Personally, I feel like every SF since Super Turbo and Alpha 2 has slowly gotten worse and worse (2 button throws, air blocks, parries, weaker SRK, easy motions, etc etc). So I blame Capcom. But I also hope that Ono will have nothing to do with SF5 (if it ever gets here).

They’ve made a system so convoluted with so many overlapping boosts and comeback traits the games’ strategy becmoes over complicated and dumbed down at the same time.
It’s like MTV used to have Rock N’ Jock Football challenges where the players could throw the ball forward after crossing the line of scrimmage. Touchdown points were doubled if certain conditions were met, etc. Now those NFL players may have enjoyed it for a weekend bit of fun, but they damn sure wouldn’t want to play that way professionally.
What Ono’s stupid ass is implementing should have been saved for another game. The idea of crossing these characters over while staying true to the roots of booth franchises was a great opportunity. His idea to make THIS game his “Party Fighter” is stupid as fuck.

You’ll sit here on SRK/4chan/gamefaqs whining and crying about how Capcom ruined fighters, how they ruined this game, how they’re so greedy for your money. Funny thing though, you’re worse than WoW fans. Far as MMOs go there’s really no real alternative currently and hasn’t been for years. It’s been either play WoW, play no MMOs and give up on the genre, or play garbage like AOC. Meanwhile fighter fans have upcoming games like KoF 13 and Skullgirls to look forward to, which lack the comeback mechanics, odd casualized gimmicks, and are being made by developers who still feel that people who practice and dedicate themselves to the game deserve to win. And unlike MMO fans, you guys can still play old games even after they “die”. We can’t play an MMO once it dies, when it’s gone, it’s offline period. You guys can still play Super Turbo, GG XX, CvS2, MvC2, SF3. So the fact that everything seems to revolve around “this game is made by Capcom and new, we gotta play it or else” is ridiculous. What the fuck happened to EVO, wasn’t that supposed to be some high level tourney for tourney players and hardcore fans, about games that took skill to play and anything else need not apply? Now it’s people playing games like SF4 and calling it shit fighter 4 and complaining about how it’s not as good as SF2 or SF3, playing MvC3 and ranting about how X-Factor is shit and how the gameplay and combos are way too easy and dumbed down for scrubs, and now SfxTekken being confirmed despite not even being released yet and tons of people bitching about how it’s casualized bullshit. So I guess EVO has shit to do with “hardcore” fighters, it’s really just “new fighters made by Capcom regardless if we hate them or not”.

Capcom Fighting Jam was a salvage job because the old director ragequit as he knew he had a stinker on his hands. I’m not going to blame Ono for that because with all of the old sprite artists gone, there was no hope for that no matter who got it.

sfxt will be a hit. And justin is probably gonna tweet “yo this game is really fun!” but leave out how party game esque this is. Also I wouldnt be surprised if top players wanted people to buy these shitty games. It gives scrubs the illusion of competition and get them to show up to tournaments. AKA more money to the pot, sf4 has single handedly brought in bigger pots the fighting game scene has ever seen, Why would top rankers like Justin Wong or Combofiend want this to stop? As much as I hate this ugly truth, competitive fighting games are dead. It’s so much easier to be flashy and aim towards the shooting game fans or the madden fans. Good games like KoF13 will be overlooked just because its KoF and its LOL FOR DA MEXICANS.
So ya as much as I hate new generation of fightards, its inevitable. Popularity comes with a price, and the sad part is scrubs still think sf4 has uber high execution, or that marvel 3 is hard. I can only hope that people will grow out of the scrub mindset, but that is probably impossible with this new trend of calling somebody a troll when they have a different opinion.
