The Official Ranting Thread

i hate how you cant use that afro guy that eddy turns into

cool time to grab my two year old and start tearing up ranked with him on co-op

This is ridiculous…46 win streak so far in ranked. I’m wondering where all the challenging players went.

they play weekdays after 10PM PST. no one decent is on on the weekends

Well, fought an auto-block user that had 15,000 BP (he was using Ryu/Rolento, and I was using Guile/Heihachi as a part of my In the Lab series), and I ended up winning. Felt pretty good.

Can’t wait until they get nerfed here on the PC version so I won’t have to worry about running into them anymore.

Man…I can’t play this while party chatting anymore.
Trying to teach my friend to sort of play this, but he rages so hard at everything that it’s becoming impossible for me to concentrate, literally killing my enjoyment of the game. I explain to him how the game works, literally talk him through fights against people, explain what I think he’s doing wrong or doing right, compliment him when he does well…and this is all I get:
:annoy::badboy::annoy::arazz::annoy:. Ear splitting outbursts of 100% Pure Vitriolic Murderous RAGE. He comments to me “:annoy: Man, your friend would be fun to play if he didn’t play like such a fucking faggot all the time!:annoy:” And the friend he was talking about was in the party with us.:shake:
I’m at a loss. It goes beyond simple raging…he gets to the point where he’s spewing some pretty bitter personal insults to my friends and I if he feels like he got screwed(which is 100% of the time, even when winning). I’d simply remove him, but I know him in real life…so it’s unavoidable. Starting to think the only time he enjoys himself if he manages to get us pissed off, then acts surprised and tells us to chill out:wtf:. Been a rough couple of weeks playing with random screaming in my ear…

on that note i hate MvC3… never played it… never will

can i play him?

I think that MvC3 is fun to play…at least on a more casual level. When you’re at that lower level where you know some basic stuff, how to move with your character and some basic mix-ups, the game can be fun with friends. Once you get to the higher levels though, the game divulges into a mess of total randomness and stupidness that it becomes a pain in the rear end to play.

I think this game gives the perfect mix between Street Fighter 4’s more solid fundamentals (basic footsies and such) while retaining the fun aspect of MvC3 (longer combos and lots of room to experiment). You are really rewarded for smart play in this game, but the combo system is loose enough to allow for plenty of experimenting without having TOD combos (outside of Cross Assault of course).

Sure, but he’ll probably just rage quit the instant he loses. He rage quit 6 times in 2 hours the other night(and stayed in party bitching anyways). It’s absurd. He was raging and I said, “Didn’t you stop playing?” and found out he was raging at Yugi-oh’s MP.. It’s like bad comedy.

I need some entertainment, I wouldn’t mind destroying him so I can hear the rage.

If you’re on XBL, I typically host endless rooms for hours, GT: AlphaZero feel free to join(goes for anyone on SRK). If my friend is in there and has his mic on, you’ll hear him:oops:

Ah, cool, will have to keep this in mind.

I WANNA FIGHT YOUR KUMA

how far are you from cali?

This has been happening for a while now, but I hate how majors like Seasons Beatings are treating SFxT. Sure, it all goes back to the pro players and stream monsters dislike of the game, but it just gets worse and worse with each major burying the game.

That patch better save the game in 1 try, because after the LA 25th, this game will be 100% online only.

@TZA: Indeed, I only know who won the SFXT tournament because Infiltration posted it on his Twitter. That’s just ridiculous.
I hope the new patch comes with the PS Vita version’s release, but with the 25th Anniversary tournaments I’m not sure if it will happen so soon.

Anyone know who else made up the remaining top 8?

This is probably the most heartbreaking match loss I’ve ever experienced. :frowning:

Y u jump at gief? D:

THIS all day. NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER jump at Gief unless you got him conditioned on wake-up to expect throws everytime. Even then you won’t catch me jump around Gief. You got really lucky that Gief was dumb enough to keep using that stupid charge up command grab. If that was a smarter Gief you would’ve paid with Lariats on every jump-in. No questions asked. You and your opponent both had quite a few chances to finish that match up but I’m guessing you both got nervous and ended up making huge mistakes. Honestly just don’t jump at Gief, neutral jump instead so you can avoid Ex SPD’s, Supers and Lariats.
