Lol It happens a lot to me against randoms or who I think are randoms. I tend play way more focused if I can accurately gauge the player’s knowledge of the match up and their general skill(and if my connection is stable, which is rare anyone can tell you that), otherwise I’m just playing to learn. Sometimes we have days where we play like garbage. I can’t tell you how many players out there that are totes free and think i’m gutter trash, win or loss.
I usually just search “same skill” until I hit B+ or A because there’s not enough players at higher rank to get varied match-ups. I just go for whatever helps me get the most matches in the shortest amount of time. I really don’t care for doing more skilled below B rank because you’ll be setting yourself up for even more randomness.
Are you searching for any in ranked? I’ve been doing same skill the whole time. Kinda have to wait for matches.
Once I hit A I go with “Any” fuck waiting 5 years for a match only to get the same dude 20 times in a row. On a side note: everytime I get positive BP I end up losing it with communication errors. Wow…fuck PSN.

LOL my cheap team, unfortunately using 2 anchor characters on the same team has huge disadvantages. You found out all of them firsthand. My damage output may be high but it costs a lot of meter and unfortunately both are unsuited to be batteries.

Hit someone talking shit over psn with a 10 hit 70% punish and have it rollback to fucking yesteryear’s alternative universe where instead the move that you hit confirmed for punish is blocked and you eat ALL the damage then get kicked from the lobby for being a “scrub” after playing with their bi polar netzero connection. I didn’t even know that level of rollback was possible.
I find my win on this match dubious. Maybe I’m blind but my opponent’s HP is higher than mine at the end of the third round, right? I’ve been thinking back then that the only way for me to win round 3 is by KO’ing him, which I failed to do and yet I won. :o

Oh hell yeah that level of rollback is possible. The Salty Rollback - called that because the level of sodium that will be caused when your hit-confirm transform into a horribly unsafe “block string” mid-combo will have you getting rushed to the hospital ASAP and put on a no sodium diet.

Booted the game up again and it said it was the first time that I’ve ever played SFxT so I got the tutorial options and all my bp and downloads were gone.

I said something like “I don’t have much trouble against Gief”, but:
Girl character: Zones Gief to death, pokes him all the time, manages to land hard hitting combos. 25% of Gief’s life is gone.
Gief: Hits the girl character with one single jab, launches, the partner does a simple launcher combo. 50% of girl character’s life is gone.

That’s usually how all my matches go against really good opponents. My girls eat 2 combos and it’s nighty night for poor little Xiaoyu or Lili. I really have a strong hatred for Heihachi after being forced to sit through his derp everytime he manages to knock me down. I’m at the point really where I’d rather fight Gief than Heihachi because with Gief at least I don’t have to worry about sitting thru bs strings (on wakeup) that are damn near impossible to block on reaction. Also Heihachi’s J.Hk is so braindead, I see why he has slow walk speed…if his walk speed were normal he’d be absolutely untouchable.
