Oh.
does the white or red Q4 come with a plexi? I’m really interested in one of these sticks but i like to customize my art too much so having a plexi is a big deal to me; If not does anyone sell them?
Do you plan on having a model like Q4 made of wood and not plastic?
You shouldn’t ever pull on the wires. Even if it doesn’t fully break off like yours did, the strands inside aren’t that strong and can break before the insulation does. Find a small flathead screwdriver, or a nail file or butterknife. Something that will fit in between the QD and microswitch, and gently pry them up. This is how they’re supposed to work. There’s a spot where they catch and hold on, and sometimes they’re just pretty tight. For QDs that you can’t get under, like on a terminal strip or soemthing, grab the base(not the top, lots of them will bend or crack easily, but the thick bottom end) with needle nose pliers and pull them off, being very careful not to yank on the wire once it comes free.
Just received my 6 button conversion kit with Street fighter 3D template from canadianjoysticks. Took a while to switch out the base and art but well worth it. Here are some pics.

I am undecided if I should order Q4, Eightarc Pearl or build a custom stick.
That is why I have a few questions for llx8000 and people which tried both Q3 and Q4:
- Do you plan on releasing a model with Seimitsu stick and buttons?
- Can I insert l32 into Q3 or Q4 without too much trouble?
- Does Q3 have noticable better build quality? I have Tekken 6 stick and I really hate playing on a plastic stick.
Hi - this is Jaleel from focusattack.com with a question for QanBa but experienced QanBa and PC users as well.
I started receiving questions from players that want to use the Q4 RAF on their Windows games. They want to know what is required to activate the PC portion of their QanBa joystick. Last I read, you need to switch to the PS3/PC then plug in the joystick in order for most WinOS configurations to recognize the joystick. Is anything else needed? Do you press the home button the same way as is done on the PS3? I personally own a Mac and don’t have any PC games for my Parallels WinPC application.
The second question is about the Turbo and mode buttons. Because the chinese instruction manual is unreadable to most in the US, they don’t understand how to get the most of the Q4 RAF’s various modes. I want to help them. Can anyone please explain some of the modes that apply to the buttons and how they interact with the console or PC?
Any help is appreciated, and will go a long way towards adoption of the QanBa as a great arcade joystick.
- Do you plan on releasing a model with Seimitsu stick and buttons?
yes,please see: LS-32-01+ PS-14-KN

- Can I insert l32 into Q3 or Q4 without too much trouble?
Please use LS-32-01 or LS-32-02,very easy. - Does Q3 have noticable better build quality? I have Tekken 6 stick and I really hate playing on a plastic stick.
Q3 have piano paint,MDF case.
- Q4 RAF 3in1 for pc when switch to PS3/PC needn’t driver. If switch to xbox360, winxp need xbox360 controller driver but win Vista,Win7 needn’t driver in pc.
when switch to PS3/PC model plug in PC,it is PC joystick.
when switch to xbox360 model plug in PC,it is xbox360 joystick for PC.
2.MODE and Turbo
Mode is D-pad to LS, press mode button, mode led light is LS, press mode button mode led power off ,joystick is D-pad. default joystick is D-pad.
Turbo:press one button and same time press turbo button, this button will have turbo function,if you press some buttons at same time press turbo button, these button will have turbo functions.
clear turbo:press the button(buttons) having turbo and same time press turbo button, the button(buttons) having turbo functions will clear.
Thanks very much for the information. Can you please explain what “LS” is?
i believe LS is for left stick like the analog stick, some games may require you to switch between the 2 if your on a PC. (like editing your inputs) so if your playing a fighting game and the character is not moving, you can press the mode button to see if your able to move since it changes the mode from digital/analog
Ah - thanks, Jayryuken. I’ll add this information to our description page so other players won’t need to ask these questions.
And thanks Jaleel for your efforts in helping all those players out with your tutorials. Keep up the great work!
Hi there. Can you please answer the next questions for the joysticks compatibles with PS3:
- Is this product licensed by sony? If it is not, I can be rendered useless through firmware update. I got the firmware 3.72.
- Why the square restrictor is better than the octagonal restrictor?
- Is there some reseller for latin-america? Shipping rates for the on-line stores already posted are sky-high expensives. 75 USD ship for a 150 USD joystick? Good luck, pal!
Thanks.
- Please direct this question directly to LLX.
- No one said that one specific restrictor is better than the other. Square restrictors are far more common in arcade sticks. But you might want to get an octagonal restrictor for 3D fighting games or characters that use many 360° or similar moves, for example Zangief in Street Fighter.
You can get an octagonal restrictor for the Sanwa or Seimitsu stick parts that are used in QanBa sticks at stores that sell arcade parts. - See www.facebook.com/ArG.ArcadeClub - Arcade Club is a reseller for QanBa products.
we have tested firmware 3.72 no problem.
So there will only be a new shipment of the white Qanba Q4 RAF’s in November?
Was looking at Focus Attacks site and that is what it said (They are unavailable everywhere else I presume…)
Where Can I get one of that baby´s blue stick in Europe? BTW If I want to make Qanbar dealer here in Portugal with who should I communicate?
