thanks gahrling. this link will also be found on qanba’s facebook page, www.facebook.com/pages/QanBa/147367415339876.
the Q3 template can be found here: http://www.2shared.com/photo/XmCKxPKv/Q3_online.html
acronym: now that is open for debate :).
^:)
I been proven wrong once there’s an influx of beautiful artwork here. The issue I have is that with stock the faceplate just looks ugly with the quarter circles personally but I can’t fault the stick itself.
i like the stock faceplate. so each to his own, i suppose, hehe.
Any idea where I can get some art to fit on this? 4237x2059 pixels…ouch
When you put the Q4RAF in 360 mode is the P1 LED supposed to light up? Mine doesnt when its designated as P2/3/4 it lights up.
It doesnt affect the stick at all its just aesthetic and i am a nerdy picky bastard lol.
Other then that BEST STICK I HAVE EVER USED!
ST RYU: the linked template perfectly fits the stick. high resolution means high quality artwork.
daddygerplex: maybe connection to the LED pcb is loose or something. would you please provide me with pictures of the inside via PM?
Ok thanks…just sorting out a nice Urien art for when my stick arrives…roll on 30th august
daddygerplex: forwarded your PM to qanba directly. i will give you an update as soon as i have any news.
Thanks Paxos you are a star!
My P1 LED problem has been solved. I plugged in the included headset and it lit up and is working now. No idea why the headset socket would stop a LED working though.
UPDATE: And its gone again. Definitely something to do with the headphone socket then. Hmm. Any ideas?
UPDATE 2: I seemed to have solved it properly this time. I basically disconnected anything i saw to do with the LED and the headphone socket and reconnected them making sure i pushed them in firmly. Now it works perfectly (touch wood).
Hopefully if this ever happens to anyone else this will help!
I wanted to replace the top of the Qana Q4RAF with one of the plexiglasses that Focusattack sells but am running into a slight problem. On the top panel, there’s little stickers that cover the screw holes, when I take that off, I’m left to deal with a bunch of “glue residue” left from the sticker being there and I can’t get to the screw because of it, any tips to alleviate this issue? I’ve been scrapping at it with a razor blade and am basically getting nowhere, I might even be scratching the screw up.
Anyone else having a hard time getting the clear plexi on the stick? It appears that it is manufactured slightly differently than the default plexi. It basically is just to large and the button holes are not where they should be. I can jam it onto the stick, but that causes it to bend upward near jab and short and makes getting buttons in very difficult. When I hold it up to the stock plexi it is noticeably off center, did I just get a bad plexi perhaps?
I’m having an issue with pressing multiple buttons simultaneously. i put input display on and kept hitting 2 or 3 buttons over and over again with the Mad Catz TE and it would register each input as it’s supposed to. However, when I use my Qanba Q4, It would accurately display the inputs about 90% of the time. The other 10% would display as if I plinked the buttons. I spent a long time switching back and forth between the sticks trying different methods of pressing the buttons and The results were the same.
kiotsukete: use something that is not sharp to get the glue off. or, if you use it gently, a pair of tweezers. it seems strange though: i didn’t have to pull any glue off, it went right off when pulling the covers.
freesalty: you obviously have a “bad plexi” if it doesn’t fit the stock plexi design. please call your seller.
chimasamune: should not be that way. perhaps a cable on the inside is not connected properly. can you open it up and reconnect the cables? you can PM me pictures of the inside.
I had a similar problem, pictured below (you’ll have to excuse the mountain of rubbish on my desk).

Gremlin Solutions (who sold me the stick) were super helpful, and I have a new plexi heading to me in the post at the moment.
Yup looks like mine, I will contact focusattack.
Hi all - Jaleel Beck from focusattack.com here. I was contacted by 2 customers so far regarding the QanBa Q4RAF plexis not fitting correctly. These plexis were purchased from QanBa, so I’m hoping that we can come to a resolution regarding whether only a few pieces are defective, or whether there is a larger issue.
I will attempt to install a plexi on my own Q4RAF over the weekend to check as well. I will also try to contact QanBa regarding replacements.
I posted a quick how-to regarding installing the plexi. One thing I noticed was that the glue will give way to a phillips screwdriver if you attempt to unscrew even with the glue on it. Apply some pressure and turn to loosen. It will come out.
Afterwards, you can clean the screws with some soap and warm water, or use GooGone™ loosen the glue from the screw. That’s what I did to clean them.
