tnx for the replies guys. I tried unplugging and replugging all the cable connections but the problem still persists :(. So, i think it could be the pcb…

I actually bought it 2nd hand frm some guy but the problem only came about after 3-4 months of usage

any word on this issue guys .

is it normal for the qanba q4 to change controller port numbers when u disconnect the controller and then plug it up again? for example I will be player 1 I will disconnect the cord and plug it back in and I will be player 2

Datel have been around for ages, way before MS got serious about gaming - I can remember them from when I seriously got into gaming myself back in the early 90s. They used to be famous for Action Replay, their equivalent to the Game Genie.

finally i’ve tested the headset
it’s echo free

no flex issue btw, i tried to push hard but nothing.

i must get used to vievlix layout since unlike my old dreamcast modded stick, the lever is closer to the buttons so i have to rearrange my mind
no issues with start button placement but, still, they could have placed them on top of the panel

if there are some things that i don’t like about the q4raf here’s the list:

1- screw cover stickers, they should have used those plastic caps that are used with furniture
2- human readable intructions, since it’s a worldwide shipping item they could have at least used english (ok ok i get we’re good at electronics and there’s internet so it’s possible to mash until there’s some answer)
3- longer cord, with big ass hdtvs most couches are at least 3-4 mt far from the console
4- safe disconnect cord, once your mom start vacuuming your room there’s an high chance that your console or your stick will hit the ground
5- the knockoff start won’t fit with the rest of the equipment: very bad choice

haven’t tested for the echoing issue, i’ll wait until i’ll need to recharge my wireless headset

turbo mode isn’t working for 360 right?
i’ve tried the mode button too for x360, it seem to do nothing only emulates dpad?can someone confirm this?

in addition to above list:

6- no support for x360 analog sticks, (i’ve tried with my pc both x360 controller drivers and in ps3/pc mode that is recognized as qanba controller)

i think it’s still a great item probably superior to other current products (mostly due to the 3mod) but still has some issues
i hope that qanba improves his future products upon this kind of feedback

Yeah, maplins are mental.

Having used this stick for a while now (Q4) I’m still really happy with it. I find I can attach a 1m USB extension cable and it will still easily fit in the cable bay. I have a 90 degree 3.5mm phono extension cable (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002XWXYH4/ref=oss_product) and a 2.5->3.5mm phono converter block and it works very well with the 360 headsets.

Has anybody found screws/caps/replacement stickers for the face screws? I’d like to put my own art in there (flush plexi is fantastic on a retail stick!) but I have used my spare stickers.

That makes no sense at all. Turbo is a feature and the stick works for PC/360/PS3; what system does turbo work on?

If I’m not mistaken, I just saw Justin Wong using the Q4 3in1 Fightstick on the EVO stream!!! This of course is because EVO uses ps3 instead of the xbox360! QANBA ftw!

din’t make sense to me either
turbo and mode aren’t for x360 so it’s just d-pad emulation
i tried on PC and both are fine

that’s the biggest disappointment with the Q4 i got
it’s something with microsoft licensing for what i recall in this discussion

That’s odd about Turbo not working on 360. I don’t think that has anything to do with Microsoft licencing as this board will have nothing to do with them.

I heard lots of rumors these past days about psn ban for qanba user (apparently it’s recognized as an usb thumb drive). Same rumors for the datel. What’s going on?
If someone can takes photo of his/her qanba q4raf on online psn, it should be proof enough everything is fine.

there are shooters on xbl too

as long as they support the dpad on xbox games it’s no that big issue to me
but the option to emulate both analog and dpad was one of the decisive factor of choiche
(otherwise i would have just triple-modded my old dreamcast stick already full sanwa)
