The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

I ended up having to ruin the stickers to get them off, but I did get a second set with my stick

OK. well, at least you got a second set, so it’s fine.

but generally, it’s not a problem to take them off without ruining them, so you might have had bad luck with the glue…

hi everyone, speaking of glue, the metal plate on top seems a little loose, like the glue is wearing off or not enough, anyone know what kind of glue to use if it comes off? thanks in advance

you can use 3M double-sided tape.

to clarify:

  1. the current sticks have a different top plate, it has been changed from a metal plate to a mirror film
  2. both plates are glued onto the stick with a double-sided tape (3M tape)

Perhaps, they were really solidly glued on though.

I got a summary written up on NE for anyone interested: http://www.neoempire.com/?p=9810

Not sure if anyone else has this problem but when we were using the Q4 on a ps3, the stick kept turning off. The controller display would show it as being Controller 1+4 but it would not work if you pressed the home button, you had to unplug the stick and plug it back in and then change the stick via the home button back to the original controller. This would happen randomly mid match which is a little frustrating.

from your review:

-The plexi (both the standard and the clear) flexes a little in the middle near the jab/short buttons and the stick hole, as there is a small gap between the plexi and the metal plate underneath. OBSN-30 screw buttons pull the plexi onto the metal plate resolving this issue.

as it is written, this is really bad
i hope once i’ll get mine on monday this will be not much of an issue

can you send the stick pictures to me.
my e-mail:zhongxianglong@hotmail.com

It’s not a big issue, in fact for most people it wouldn’t be an issue at all. Little things like that do bug me, though it is very easy to fix.

Is anyone selling ready cut custom artwork for the Q4 yet?

You must be pushing on your plexi extremely hard, or there’s something wrong with your stick…cause I do not have this flexing problem at all…and i’m pushing hard. And start button on face not ideal?? have you ever seen a VLX?

Has anyone made any Q4 stick art yet?

I only push very gently. I can lift up the JLF dust washer and see that the plexi is about 2mm above the metal plate.

I have seen the VLX, it’s still not ideal.

I was going to ask the same question, but honestly if you’re good with epoxy I’d say use the epoxy that is good for metal&plasitc. Use a very light amount and it won’t peal up ever again

Mine was peeling up out of the box and thats what I did

I used the Q4RAF template to have someone make this stick art, but it seemed to be smaller than my actual clear plexi.

Also, any help on rewiring my buttons after I switch out the plexi? I haven’t done it yet because the wires look really confusing.

danimals just unconnect all the QDs in order that you’ll remember and rewire in new buttons

Sorry, but what’s a QD?

Quick disconnect, the spade connections on the buttons that you can pull off.

It isn’t ā€˜ā€˜Ideal’’ to you maybe. lol. Sorry dude, your ā€˜ā€˜review’’ (which i wouldn’t call much of a review…it’s a pro and con list) is biased. You say the layout isnt ideal, but yet your ā€˜ā€˜favorite’’ stick is a VSHG…that thing has plenty face buttons.

But just to let you know, this stick’s layout (and other sticks like VLX, VX, etc) is made to mimic the P1 side of a real Viewlix cab. So i guess if you don’t consider that ideal, than this stick isn’t for you lolz.
