The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

…and yes, you will have to get a clear plexi to change the art for the Q4.

Thanks guys. Just went and ordered my plexi.

glad to help

pre-ordered a q4raf from gremlinsolutions can’t wait for it

anyway could someone tell me the lenght of the cord?i’ve read that should be kinda short but no one came with the actual measure

should i expect any 360 microphone issue on this pre-order?can i get the wiring diagram in advance? ( shura30 (at) msn.com )

you can easily either make the cord longer: open the stick and you will see that the cable is wrapped around parts of the case which you can undo. remember not to remove all of the knots and fix the cable somehow to counter any drawing force on the cable.

and you can also replace it with a longer cable easily or add a cord extender

i still don’t have the item in my hands so i can’t get a clue of what to do…btw if the actual lenght is good i’ll not bother…
do you have a measure?

you can see it here: http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/2968/19913718393058831973816.jpg. the usable length of the cable at stock is around 2.6 m.

rearranging the cable duct got me another 20 cm of cable length.

thanks man fot the info, i think i’ll get an usb cord extender just for the sake of simplicity

they should start using longer cords at least 4mt

The knots tied in the case are there for a reason. They help to eliminate stress it the wire were to be pulled. I don’t recommend untying them. The cable is long enough, you’ll be surprised. But if you do need a longer cable, an extension, Or making your own cable would be the way to go.

i corrected my post from above. i did not want to imply you should completely remove those knots. but you can rearrange the cable duct to get some more length to it.

but a longer cable or extension are probably the better solutions, yes ;).

I like the word rearrange much better! I can make longer cables for anyone who would like one. Not for free of course.

BTW, paxos, Your cable seems to have a small gray tag on it, what does it say? My Qanba did not have this on it.

Can you remove the design under the current plexi?

Also regarding the R4 whats the plastic like?, is the build similar to the TE?.

Also anyone can you replace the graphics for the Q3 and Q4?/

queroberos: as i wrote above, the Q3 and Q4 faceplates are printed directly onto the plexi. so you will have to purchase a clear plexi extra to change the art.

acronym: the plastic is solid, high quality ABS.

shura30: as i wrote, the cable length that you can actually use is 2.6 m (and not 2.8 m).

nakadish: it says that you should put the console switch in the correct position before connecting the stick to the console.

So regarding replacing the artwork how hard is that to do?, so I gues remove plexi and then insert printed artwork and clear plexi?.

yes, you will notice black spots in the corners of the artwork. just remove them gently. then unscrew the plexi and replace it with a new one. you can put the black spots back if you want (they are adhesive). very simple ;).

Ok so i make some artwork, but then where do i print it ???

hehe, go to a local copy shop or something like that. they often have plotters or printers who can print bigger templates.
