The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

Just e-mailed the guys at Tek Innovations/Art hobbies, i was hoping they were planning on making covers for the Q4 as i don’t trust my self with anything apart from Abel, lolz.

I don’t post often on SRK (Life long lurker) but I figure what the hell and share this with you.

Here’s a video review for the Q4RAF that I did for Focusattack.com

Any questions, comments, concerns, let me know.

Well played wild fire, great review. “It’s too small” that’s what she said. lol that made me chuckle.

This is a question I’ve wanted to ask for a long time, did you by any chance while in the middle of a game, hit the start button by accident, because that’s the only thing im weary off, because the TE cos with a lock switch which is really clever thinking, and I’m soo worried in a tournament last round of last game i will hit the start and ill be fucking screwed over…

hasn’t happened to me yet. other players with experience on accidently hitting the start button?

Thanks! Yeah…after I said that line I couldn’t resist putting that there.

Ya know, in the tons of hours I’ve had on the Q4, it has yet to happen to me. However, it is a concern if you randomly mash and what not that you MIGHT hit it. A good way to avoid it would be to not use the last two black buttons (or just plug them with the included plugs). That way the start button “feels” a little more out of the way and more in tune with some arcade setups out there.

I have never accidentally pressed the start button. Also the stock start button is not sanwa, therefore it is very stiff, or harder to press down and activate. Some people take this as a bad thing…but it’s not.

Some masher’s may hit it. But you shouldn’t be mashing anyway…unless you are super pro…like mike ross:

Huge problem.

I turned on my console, with my qanba q4raf plugged in, and it is activating the down input over and over again. I have a video of what it’s doing if anyone wants to see. What could be causing this?

Upon further inspection, I have found that this only happens in xbox menus. Dashboard, friends list, sign in, etc.

I thought it was cause by an hanging ground connection (cause i use 6 buttons) touching the RT connection and causing it to activate in the menus. I taped the ends of all loose QD’s, and also disassembled and cleaned my buttons and made sure their wiring was connected properly.

The problem now continues and now happens in game. The RT button is definitely firing off randomly. Anyone have an idea on how to remedy this problem???

It also still happens with the RT button QD’s not connected to the button. And when the button harness is unplugged from the PCB. When i unplug the stick from the console and plug it back it the problem immediately continues, but if i unplug the usb connector from the PCB and plug it back in, it stops for about a minute and then continues.

I have sent llx8000 a pm regarding this matter.

Hey all,

Jaleel Beck from Focusattack.com here. We just received the Q4RAF plexis (I know…FINALLY! lol) The plexi covers are available now for just $13.95 each.

While I’m here, can someone point me to a Photoshop version of the artwork template? I believe that someone posted it on SRK, but the original forum URL is invalid. I’d like to offer that at my store as well, giving credit to the person that originally designed it. Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: Just found the URL. Thanks to IIx from Qanba for developing it, to tROYISM for making it available for dowload, and to Paxos for correcting me on who actually developed it.

Also available are the Qanba color hole plugs – just 1.79 each! We have these in limited quantities for now, but will get more in time.

All pre-orders for the Q4RAF have sold out. Unfortunately we couldn’t get more than 40 units this time, so we don’t have any in stock outside of the pre-order batch. We will order more for the next restock, and will no longer offer pre-ordering. This means that you can order one once they arrive, without needing to wait.

Thanks!

Hello, I just got a qanba q4 3 in 1 stick and I wanna change the artwork, I have template, but what would I have to do?

read the current page of the qanba thread…i posted it twice already :).

what you also will have to do is buy a clear plexi cover and print out your artwork. the template that LLX from QanBa provided can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/3ur4bsa.

heads up jman!

What do you think about the problem i described, paxos??

Do you think it’s the PCB?

i’m not yet sure, LLX from qanba should be able to help you though.

Yeah, I’m waiting to hear from him.

hi
RT/LT black wire from LED PCB ABC(NOT from 7 other buttons black wire)

please rewire RT/LT black wire.

NOTE: RT/LT buttons signle wire(RT blue wire,LT yellow wire , from mainboard) corresponded black wire from LED PCB ABC

I hope GremlinSolutions has stock available in two weeks.

I do not understand…I have tried to swap wires and the problem continues, I can disconnect the entire button harness from the pcb and it still does this.

They have stated on their Facebook page that the sticks are currently in UK customs, they are hoping to have received them by Tues/Wed this week and hoping to ship them out ASAP.

nakadish: see my pm.
