Dang, I’ve been waiting to get this fightstick for months, lol. Does anyone know when they’ll have shipping to the USA?
Question, has anyone installed a Seimitsu stick in their Q3 or other Qanba sticks? The stock mounting plate from the LS-56 is too long so I’m only temporarily playing only the button side of the plate mounted on. Can anyone confirm if the LS-32’s stock mounting plate fit perfectly? I keep forgetting that Qanba probably mainly designed the stick to perfectly have Sanwa mounted in whereas my VLX takes both Seimitsu and Sanwa sticks fine.
QanBa Q2?Q3?Q4 takes both Seimitsu and Sanwa sticks fine
Hey all.
So I have a nasty chip on my stick (Q3 xbox) on the upper right hand corner. Well it is not that nasty, but it is there, no more than a half inch wide and a quarter inch long. Anyways, I’m thinking about trying to repair it with epoxy, filling it in and then sanding/carving it down. I figure it shouldn’t be too much trouble, but any advice on this would be helpful, especially on things NOT to do.
Also, since I’m going to need to repaint it, I’m thinking about repainting the entire thing. I’m going to keep the artwork the same as well as the red stripe but the rest will be white. Basically wherever there is black now will be white after I repaint it. White might not be the only color I go with, I’m thinking about something relatively light and somewhat on a duller side, basically nothing neon or too primary. If you are experienced at painting or dealing with materials like this and you have any advice or recommendations like what primers/paints would work well with the stick’s material (enamel?) or would be bad for the stick it’d be much appreciated.
Is there anywhere in the U.S. that sells your joysticks? I really want to buy a Q3 EMP but I can’t justify $57 for shipping from Play-Asia, thx!
The mounting hole dementions on the Q3 do not match that of the Seimitsu mounting plates. The stock JLF plate has extended holes which will fit because they are extended parralel to the length of the plate.

Notice the extended holes.
On Seimitsu MS plate, only one side can be mounted while the other side will extended beyond the holes. This causes the stick to have a slight drop on side while playing if you push the stick down. The VF plate is too small.

The stock LS-32 plate and the NA plate also will not work. The stock small being too small, and the NA being too big.

Seimitsu RE and P-40 plates have an extended mounting hole, but they extended dialogonally and I do not think it will work in the Q3 from what I seen.

Any video of the stick?
Any pictures of the insides?
Also, can someone translate the Q4 info picture please?
I did a quick translation for those items you might want to know, means I won’t be retarded to translate what is home and turbo
Mode ------- Joystick mode ( i would think this is the LS/DP/RS switch)
1234 LED -------- Controller ID
X360, PS3, PC ---------- switch for corresponding system. (since it is a switch, I assume it is not a pcb similar to PS360, rather 2 pcbs put into one pcb with a dpdt swtich soldered on the board. any thoughts?)
??---------- there will be a handle like the wired emp Q3
???----------- cable room
???----------- headphone and mic jack
think those are all you need translation, other ones are quite straightforward.
Thanks! I´ll wait for those inside pics :).
You don’t need mounting plates for LS-32/LS-40. I don’t know if the LS-33/55/56 will work on the Qanba sticks.
You can use the MS plate, but one side will not screw in. syn13 can post a picture of the LS-56 MS plate inside his Q3 to demonstrate what I mean.
Didn’t think about not using the mounting plate. I forgot about the inside mounting holes since I do not have a Q3 anymore. Do you they fit for a fact? Or are you guessing?
I almost had the problem solved, I was gonna use the mounting plate that came with my VLX Sanwa JLF but forgot that the screws are in different places. I’m at work now but if anyone wants, I will take a picture.
The best solution that me and Robin could figure out was to either use super glue or red loctite on the area that did not fit.
I installed a LS32 stick on my qanba stick. I actually took off the mounting plate and screwed in on like that. At the time, I only had LS32 with the flat mounting plates in stock. Just take the mounting plate off and it works like a charm.
Do you have inside picture of Qanba4 also please?
Question - For the Q3 RAF3 PS3 stick, what kind of paint is applied to the plexiglass? This is quite important, since it determines the type of method that I will be using to remove the paint from the plexiglass.
LS-56 does not mount on properly either way:

It’s designed to be smaller so even with the mounting plate off, won’t fit at all:

So I will be using loctite on it since it’s my preferred stick to use.
Any word on a release date? I really want this.
That’s interesting… boards using Datel technology haven’t so far supported the 360’s mic option. I wonder what they’re using…
As TheRealNeoGeo keeps saying - inside pics wanted NOW!
Are you 100% sure about that? I’m looking at mine now and the ground points seem daisy chained, as do a lot of the points on the motherboard. But since my multimeter blew up I can’t test it for sure…
