Is this joystick wireless or wired?
I wrote to Play-Asia to inquire if they will be selling this product and was told that they have no information on this Q4 joystick and is not sure if they will carry it in the future ā¦
Iām sure they will carry them once manufacturer starts shipping it out to retails.
So from what I gathered:
- This Q4 is crafted specifically to target the PS3/360/PC market.
- Design is very similar to HRAP V3 SA
- Weighs just like the Madcatz TE (downgraded from Q3ās 11 lbs by almost half)
To be honest Iām not too thrilled about its design. I like the specs on Q3 EMP more.

Looks like Iāll be getting the Q3 EMP version whenever since I wanted a wooden wired Sanwa-based ps3 stick.
EMP looks more cool by far
Two steps forward with the triple compatibility, one step back with the plastic case. Looks like it doesnāt come with a plexi-glass as well but then again, Iām guessing with the dual compatibility, they had to cut cost somewhere.
Meh, I would stick with the Q3 Xbox version instead and get it dual modded. I just got my VLX dual modded so Iām good since I have my PS3 Q3 dual modded.
Well, I donāt mind the plastic. As long as it doesnāt break from a fall.
It seems a lot like the HRAP V3, but fixes every issue I personally had with the stick.
Plus it is very straight forward looking, and Iām a fan of the clean simple look. Will look into getting.
When I look at it, it looks like a mix between a TE-S and HRAP V3 mixed.
But can it mount a LS-32/56?
Hereās a theory from what I noticed from the picture:
Either thereās a metal plate with a plexi-glass under a sticker or there is just a metal plate with a sticker over it. Aside from that, I am assuming that the mounting plate should be similar to the Q3.
Price will be 159US$ (read it on forum somewhere)? That is damn cheap with all the features.
