The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

The next Qnaba Q4 should be a 6 button design with the additional two buttons at the side. This will be favourable by more hardcore players who prefer only 6 button designs.

I think it’s unlikely for any mass-produced stick to have a six-button design but man if this Q4 did I would buy two in a heartbeat!

6 Button only is usually only arguable for Astro City layouts.
If there are 8, I personally will just plug up the last 2 buttons anyways.

After looking at the Q4 link again, am I allowed to assume the design based off the red wrapping?

Maybe the ideal route would be to have two pre-plug holes on the side. That way people who want six buttons can move the two to the side and still maintain 8 button functionality for where it is needed.

The Qanba EMP actually comes with 2 button plugs, which can be used to plug up the last two holes.

Are you looking into another Qanba Robin??
6 would be ideal for 80% of games(can’t think of shmups and fighters that require 8 buttons) as I am starting to question whether I want the last column of buttons plugged or not for my Q3 but can anyone tell my why some Vewlix machines have 7 buttons with the last button plugged?

Where can I buy that exact color of that stick?

I am looking to buy at least one new stick. Two if I can find a buyer for my wireless one. The Q4 and the Akiharabarashop stick are on my mind.

I don’t know what the 7th button is for.

Oh man, you’re selling your awesome wireless Tekken stick?? That thing is a awesome little stick I have to mention though~

Weird how some cabs got the 7th button installed…select?

Hey is there any way I can get the Q4 in the USA? Is anyone coming back to the states from China that can pick up an extra one, or will there be shipping to the US? Thanks.

Play-asia at the moment is the only place I know that gets a usual stock of Qanba sticks(Q2, Q3 and EMP models). Play-Asia is from China so they should definitely get Q4.

Just got my Q3 for Xbox 360 delivered today and since I can’t really seem to find many videos on YouTube for the Qanba I figured I shoot one. Here is the link if any of you are interested in seeing what’s in the box and the stick up close and side by side with the TE stick:

Very professional man! Thumbs up.

Couple distinct differences I noticed from the PS3 and the 360 version is that the 360 edition(aside from being wired) is that it gets a cooler looking white box with the name in Chinese(looks waay more authentic) and your 360 version came with a red ball top where mine came with all white parts~

Til this day, I still have to say Qanba sticks are superior to TE and HRAP

Great video clip! Makes me want it even more now!

I’ve always wanted a wooden Sanwa stick & this stuff looks nice & clean! What’s the difference between Q2, 3 & 4?!?

Form factor and maybe PCB, all the Q series offer Sanwa parts and Vewlix button layout.
Q2 - wired, perfect rounded rectangle shape, surface of the stick have the start, select/back and home buttons on the top left corner. Otherwise it’s made out of the same material as the Q3.
Q3 - wired(360), wireless(PS3) and wrist rest area is slanted downwards.
Q3 EMP/Empire Arcadia - Only for PS3(as far as I know), wired, almost identical to the Q3 for 360 but has a handle on the top of the stick.
Q4 - No one knows but I assume it will offer the same awesomeness the previous models but with more improvements/new features.

Thx for the info! I’ll just wait & see what the Q4 has to offer then.

Hi there,

It looks like the Empire Arcadia has a slightly different layout from the original Q3, with the buttons further away from the stick and to each other (could be an optical illusion due to the white disk around the shaft).
i.e. the EMP looks like it has the exact same layout as the Madcatz TE while the Q3 replicates the Viewlix layout.

Could anyone confirm?

Thank you
Ridge

Hi, please help me out with the Qanba 3 (PS3)
2 questions:
Can I charge the stick when its turn off?
How do know that the stick is fully charge?

It seems like even though it was charge all night, the LED still flashing :frowning:

What can I do if the battery dies?
