Does the Qanba 3 joystick works with the PS3 that is flashed with the latest firmware ?
I thought that Sony has disabled all non sony licensed 3rd party controllers ?

I remember mine worked back when the initial firmware was implemented(3.25?) and my Q3 wasn’t dual modded and worked. Despite firmware now, mine should work as well but I’ve been playing exclusively on 360 recently.

I thought play-asia shipped world wide. They still have all their “high end” sticks stocked there except for the EMP version.

My PS3 is updated fully and I’ve been using my Qanba EMP stick with no problems.
I am asking for a friend, so can you tell me your firmware version? I dont have a ps3 to test out 
The stick in question is the wireless Qanba 3 actually…
I’m pretty sure ukyo is using the most recent firmware, if you play online, you have to be up to date on firmware and I believe if the EMP version works then the Q3 will work because why would you license one product and not for the other which is 80% the same in design.
I guess my stick isn’t technically 100% Qanba anymore since mine had to be gutted for dual modification but hey, I still love their quality and design! Still looking forward to what they have in store for the next model(RAF4/Q4?).

I’m excited, as much as I am done with sticks at the moment, I would love to see the improvements Qanba has done with the Q4 over the Q3(PS3 version). The wireless feature was sorta a double edged sword, it was responsive and great but shut down tourney players and was trouble to dual mod…other than that and the graphic printed on the plexi-glass, loved the stick!
Then again, I believe the 360 Q3 was the stick that got the improvements the PS3 version sorta needed.
I’ve been looking carefully at my EMP recently and I noticed an area that got scratched up. It annoys me. Anyone got an idea what the coating on this thing is, and whether scratches can be removed?
EDIT: OH MAN I HOPE THAT Q4 STICK COMES OUT 1/18 AS SCHEDULED! I’ll still be in Japan at that time and having a new Qanba to take home with me would be the greatest thing EVAR!
I was planning on getting the Q3, but if this it the case then I’m definitely getting the Q4. I didn’t even realize they were releasing a new stick till I clicked on this thread just now. And hopefully it does support both systems. Dual support right off the bat would be a huge addition. Can’t wait to see what it looks like.
