Just managed to change the JLF on the Q4RAF to a Seimitsu “LS-56-01 with MS Plate”.
Want to let the folks know that contrary to popular belief, the p-40 plate is not required. The MS plate fit nicely into the original screw slots holding the JLF mount.

Why can’t you just use two button plugs and replace the 2 buttons you don’t want? That seems to be an easier solution. I think it even comes with 1 or 2 button plugs with the Q4.
Coz the plugs just don’t feel natural for me, and when I hit HP or HK sometimes they come off.
Hi all. I’ve been interested in playing fighting games with an arcade stick for a while. I plan on buying the Qanba Q4. On eight arc dot com i see i can buy one for $150.
Since this is my first time ever buying an arcade stick I was wondering how eight arc handles their business. Like how often do people end up with the wrong product, missing or broken pieces, delays. Oh and how is the customer service? I can’t seem to find a phone number on that website. I only ask this because lately ive been having a tough time dealing with various businesses small and large and feeling like once they have my money they can treat me like garbage or just ignore me all together. I already tried to google “customer reviews eight arc” and “eight arc reviews” but they are all reviews for the arcade stick and not the company
I have only bought through amazon and what I remember the delivery didn’t take long. Besides that I didn’t have any problems with broken, missing parts and they sent me the right stick I ordered. I’m going to order another one in a few days.

Where can I buy screw cover stickers for my Qanba Q4?
I want to change the artwork back to default but could not handle not having those lovely screw stickers to cover up those black screws!

If you intend to just not use the last two buttons, you can use the standard art template and simply not cut/ have cut the last two buttons.

I used a six button conversion kit on mine - like this one: http://www.canadianjoysticks.com/qanba-q4-6-button-panel-conversion-kit/ - that replaces the metal plate and moves the stick and buttons over. Like so:
If that’s the route you head down, PM me - I have a copy of the template for that kit (the links are no longer on the websites you can get them from, for some reason - at least not that I can see).
I emailed QanBa about the very same thing, and they sent me a strip of them free of charge (to the UK). The black ones, not the silver, but you can’t complain!
Anyone know of where I can get a 3-in-1 Qanba stick in the UK? They seem to be out of stock everywhere I look.

I own the q4 3in1 (black one) and have a question about the headset jack. I never used it before. I bought a 3,5 mm Adapter to use my regulary headsets & headphones but unfortunately none work. Neither on my 360 nor on ps3. Don’t regular headphones work? Or do I need a special one? If i didn’t missunderstand the posting someone stated here the package already includes a simple headset. My package only included 2 extra bottons and a glasses cloth. Where can i get a working headset?? Respectively compatible one.

The Xbox 360 controller uses a 2.5mm head phone jack. The Xbox 360 headset port will not work on PS3.
PS3 uses either a bluetooth or a USB headset.
so what’s the cheapest going rate these days on a q3/q4 in north america? also what are the distinct differences between the two other than that q4’s 3 platform support?

The cheapo guide to making your own screw covers!
You know the foil/aluminum covers for things like cough lozenges? Take a 1/4" hole punch and punch some holes out. You can fit them into the screw hole cover, no glue necessary. I can pop em in, turn the stick upside down, shake it and those suckers won’t fall out.

Everything sold locally is required to play Sales tax, almost everything online requires Shipping. Sometimes with overseas shipping you might get stuck with a Import or Duty Tax.
Only way to by pass them both is if you get lucky and just happen to be at the right time and place like a Tournament or other FGC event, maybe craigs list.
