Dose anybody know if the the new q2 glow has sanwa buttons, and if not any idea how hard it would be to replace them with sanwas.
Q2 Glow does not use Sanwa buttons. On the description:

It says it uses Qanba’s own buttons. From personal experience, the Qanba stock sticks and buttons aren’t too bad, but I’m not too sure as to how reliable they are. But if they’re trying to save costs by not buying Sanwa or Seimitsu equipment, they’re probably not on-par with their level.
Qanbas, in general, are pretty mod-friendly. Shouldn’t be difficult to swap them out with Sanwas at all, assuming their internal wiring isn’t soldered to each button, which they usually aren’t.
But then it won’t glow! I already have a Sanwa stick, I just reeeeally like the way this one looks.
Edit: Sorry just realised you probably weren’t replying to my post.
Ok cool I figured they didn’t. I’ll probably have to drill some holes for the leds but that’s it. I might just wait till my hbsf buttons come in.
Both your questions are pretty similar, so I was sort of responding to you both.
Well, yeah, they won’t glow, unless you somehow find Sanwa/Seimitsu LED buttons, or you can do the LED mod yourself. LED mod, as far as I can tell, seem to work better with Seimitsu buttons, and require quite a bit of labor.
I just got my qanba q1 in the mail today and I’m having trouble using it on SSF4 ae. Someone said you need to configure it in the game but how do you do that? Sorry if this has already been answered but this is really annoying me.
Assuming you’re using it on the PC version, you need to go into the game settings and configure your controller. Basically use a custom layout, and figure out which buttons you want for lp, mp, hp, lk, mk, hk, start, select.
Hi guys I am in Hong Kong right now visiting some relatives… and I cant seem to find these Qanba’s for sale anywhere! I checked various videogame/computer malls in tsuen wan, sham shiu po and mongkok and they only seem to sell the streetfighter x tekken sticks if any at all
Anyone know where I can get a qanba stick?
I got my Q4 in Sham Shiu Po last year. I don’t remember exactly where, but it was inside the Golden Computer Arcade. One of them is an official retailer, had a signed picture of Canada Cup’s eLive Pro team and everything.
Thanks Jay I found a few sellers now, at the Golden Computer Arcade as you said. It would seem I just didnt knew what to look for (since they dont display those sticks but keep them boxed… and the box itself doesnt have a pic of the stick) so I walked passed it during my previous visits
The prices were too good to be true though (like 80 euros ) so I was scared they where trying to scam me since I am a tourist …
Anyway I will pick one up later maybe
Hey guys, I need someone who has both a Q4 stick and Capcom vs SNK 2 PS2 Classic on PSN to do a check for me.
My stick (white & red Q4) was working fine up until the latest PS3 System Update.
Now the buttons work fine, but the directional stick is not functioning as normal. I’ve confirmed this is not happening in other fighting games.
I’m stuck as to what to do about this…
Thanks in advance.
^have you tried the mode button when playing CvS2? I know on Xbox it switches from LS to D Pad control
^ Yes I have, turned it on and off and it doesn’t work,
Also to add more detail, the little blue light that is on when the stick is in use turns off when I load CvS2. And the Home button doesn’t work when CvS2 is on. I have to use the Home button on another PS3 controller to turn the game off.
This is really frustrating.
I jsut confirmed again that the stick is working perfectly on other games, the blue light stays on and the Home button on the stick works.
Many game pads and sticks are not compatible with PS3/PSN PS2 Ports.
The issue is with Capcom vs SNK 2 on your PS3 and not the stick.

Yes, that is what is appears to be. But what has be perplexed is that Capcom vs SNK 2 was working perfectly about a week or two ago.
The next thing I know the stick isn’t working properly with it and the only guess I can make is that there was a PS3 System Update between the last time that CvS2 was working properly and when it wasn’t.
If anyone has any clue, please share… T_T
Its a known issue with PS2 ports on PSN.
The fault is with the game and not the stick.
The known workaround is to use a PCB that supports “PS2 mode” on the PS3.
I believe the Toodles series of PCBs don’t have that issue. But I dont have a comprehensive list of what works and what doesn’t
Okay, thanks for your help.
It seemed to have been a problem for many PS2 games previously, but as you mentioned, it has been confirmed by several people on this thread that update 4.50 appears to have broken it with several more (if not all) PS2 titles… Both PSN Classic versions to actual discs for those machines that are still backwards compatible.
I have the Namco 50th Anniversary collection for PS2 that played fine the last time I tried it. I’ll have to try playing it again with my stick now that I have 4.50 to see if that game is hosed as well.
Only problem with my Q4RAF is that the paint came off the top of some of the stickers really easily, and two popped out, one of which was lost. Any possibility I could get some new ones? Some nice screws would be cool too but I don’t know what ones would fit in the Q4RAF.
My Q3 battery died again and needs to be replaced. Can I still contact zhong xiang long at the same e-mail address?
I own a Q4 RAF and the other day while playing tekken i noticed that when i press down two buttons at the same time I will get an extra input of either of buttons. It almost looks like a plink. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to buy a replacement board since I am pretty sure this is the problem.
Anyone know where I can get a qanba stick?
