qanba q1 finally on eightarc, 70 bucks 12 bucks for shipping really good deal, i just ordered mine. at 5LBS i think it competes with sticks like the sanrio de xtekken pro, and evo stick. the parts are sanwa, let’s see how they turn out (there are originally 3 versions qanba, sanwa and semitsu) eightarc went for qanba hence the price.
also its ps3/pc, sounds like qanba is trying to leave the gray market…
Maybe a question already answered somewhere here but anyways. Does anyone know what model of connector that connects the sub pcb (select, home etc) to the main pcb in the Q4 (my guess is that it is a jst-h but i’d like confirmation on that)?
Case someone are interested, I wrote a Qanba Q1 review and made a simple unboxing video. Since I’m a beginner in fighting games, there may be mistakes on the review, so use the comments case you found something.
Hey all. Anyone here have problem with static electricity and Qanbas?
I got my Qanba in the mail a few weeks ago and its been working fine… but I noticed that due to my carpet and the metal bottom cover my Qanba has. I can sometimes shock the stick and make it turn off.
Could this potentially damage my stick? anyway to change the bottom cover so this doesnt happen?
This can potentially damage the stick. Best thing to do is simply avoid rubbing your feet on the carpet, and touching a grounded surface (such as the metal case of your computer) before messing with the stick.
An alternate solution would be to put a felt bottom on your Qanba that’s found on the Q4RAF’s. You can either create a metal panel with glued felt on it to replace your current panel, or simply glue felt directly to the panel you have now while leaving space for the fasteners.
Ok have a Qanba Q4 RAF that is having connectivity issues with my Xbox 360 slim. I was reading a couple pages back where someone was having similar issues when connecting it to the left usb port(p1 side)but it would work when connecting it to the p2 side. My Qanba was doing the same thing, as this has just started happening this week. Now I ake really good care of the stick, and I never wrap the cord around the stick and always in the cable compartment. Im not sure if its becuase of any updates or what but this has just started happening.
I inspected the cable to see if there were any rips in it and there are none. I plugged my stick in the p2 side and it seemed to work so I thought it was the port but then it was happening in that port too. What seems to happen is that it will connect but as soon as I wiggle the wire it it would loose connection. I then smoothed the cable from begining to end wth my hand so there there is no bends at all in the cable and I kinda pushed the cable into the stick just to make sure it wasnt loose to see if that would help, and now it works.
I dont know what I did really(if anything at all), or if its just an intermitten problem and something is gong bad inside or what. Im not sure if its becuase of an update(I heard someone say something earlier about that), if its becuase of the wire itself, if something is loose inside and needs to be replaced(I havent opened it up yet), or if the problem is going to come back and continue(before I left to work today it was working fine). Any insight or advice on this matter would be much appreciated! Thanks.
You can buy any USB wire with a Male-A USB end on one side. The other side doesn’t matter, since you’ll be cutting it off, exposing each wire, and soldering it back onto the board.
