As far as I know, that’s a problem 90% of the Q4s out there have (including mine!).
the little plastic latch has come off the lid of my Qanba Q4RAF. I can imagine it’s something that everyone else will have happened before. Can anyone recommend any modding solutions? I’m considering some sort of latch design my drilling a small hole and a small strip of metal. What’s everyone done to solve this so far? (besides ignoring it
Yes sir, you are correct.
Sounds interesting. Never tried it before myself though…
This. ^^
Wish the Q1 had a 360 version.
The stick is so aesthetic, especially the one with the characters all over the plexi.
I own a QanbaQ4 raf which I’ve used for about 7 months extremely frequently. My USB wiring harness has an open where it first routes into the storage compartment, causing it to d/c. Where can I find a replacement harness?
I have a Qanba Q4RAF that I have been using for a while also. After a few months the carrying handle on the stick broke. I didn’t use it in any abusive way I can think of. How can I got about getting a replacement handle?
My stick has been having this problem since I upgraded to a newer Xbox. Most of the time, after I turn my console off with my Q4RAF plugged in, the console stops recognizing it - I can’t turn the console on using the start or home buttons, and turning the console on using some other way (pad or power button) doesn’t power on the stick; I have to unplug and plug it back in to work. A couple of other sticks that I own don’t have this problem.
Is this something fixable?
Go to eightarc’s website and tell them your story. If you can forward them with an email receipt from where you purchased the stick, if you got it online. If they won’t give you one, ask them how much would it be to buy one.
the bent-in cable door should be easy to fix:
open the cable door and cautiously bend it in the opposite direction.
this did the trick for me, at least.
Couldn’t find a better thread to ask this question in:
I’ve had my Qanba Q4RAF for a while now, all stock. I’ve been wanting to make some art for it before I start in on the new buttons.
Would anyone happen to have a link to a template for the Q4RAF? Maybe one they could e-mail me?
Just searched but couldn’t find anything. I apologize if there is already a thread for Q4 customization in particular, I just could not find it in my search attempt.
Thanks a lot fam.
Peace.
There’s a veritable smorgasbord of templates here: http://www.tek-innovations.com/arthobbies/index.cfm?loc=about&sub=templates
Ahhh yes! I stumbled upon that site a while back. Thanks for the link back.
I had two questions about the Q4RAF. 1st, What cable can I buy to replace the USB cord, is it just a generic USB cable? Also what kind of button is the start button?
- Don’t know - I would assume so, but someone much cleverer will advise you better than I;
- A 24mm button (Sanwa by default).
icyman: Go with generic USB for the Qanba
I don’t think the start button is Qanba. Not that it matters a whole hell of a lot, but I do remember reading somewhere’s that it’s not. Feels good to me either way.
I got my Q4 RAF 2 in 1 (PC/PS3) a few weeks ago and I mainly use it on my PC. However when I plugged it into my PS3 it recognised the stick but the HOME button and the [] and O signs were reversed how do I fix this?
Can someone please show me or send me the email with the graph to rewire the headset part of the stick? I’m not having the echoing issue but whenever I use an adapter it will not recognize a headset being plugged in. Email sneak8288@gmail.com
Love my Q4s but one of my stick’s lid is broken. The plastic holding the cover snapped and I’m hoping there is a way to fix or rather replace the broken part.
