Oh yeah, I’m happy with my Q4 too. But that stick does look very nice considering the price tag.
Is there a way to order those qanba shaft/dust covers directly? I had to go through some Canadian site to track them down.
have a question if anyone could help me out…
ive heard that there can be problems if you try to wire up the pcb in the q4raf for to put in arc eyes for light up buttons?
is this BS or have there be known issues?
Hey everyone I’m thinking about investing in a Qanba Q4 Ice red. Is they’re any issues with it? Any one know of any coupon codes? Thanks in advance.
Although I don’t know of any coupon codes, I can answer your first question with the simply reply of, “Yes, it is definitely worth it. As for issues, besides the flimsy cable door, nothing else”.
I am really having a hard time taking the balltop off the qanba q4raf. Its like its completely sealed up tight to where i cant even tell if its loosening up.
I never had a hard time taking off the balltop for my hori real arcade pro3.
Those desk mounts on the Q1 look pretty awesome.
Is this different from the “Q1-CUT” released a few months back?
Man, shipping is brutal to the United States at $100 for EMS.
Play Asia’s always been like that… I’m waiting for Arcade Shock or a UK retailer to stock up on these so I can purchase it without the insanely expensive shipping charges.
Yeah, I guess. I’ve never tried to order large hardware from there before. Mostly games, CDs, and some action figures.
Thanks for the help.
im guessing its the one with no sanwa/semitsu parts… i kinda wonder which one eightarc is gonna pick up for us distribution…
Sad to say it, but my Q4raf is having issues again - the stick will occasionally disconnect/reconnect, and sometimes during play, some of the buttons will random stop responding, or register “released” even though I’m holding it down. (One of my buddies with a Q4raf also has the same issue, but worse - on his stick it happens so often the stick is pretty much unusable.)
I received replacement parts (PCB, wires, etc) back in February for the same issue, but it’s happening again, worse this time. Is this a known problem, and is there a fix? Since this is the second PCB I’m on, I have to wonder.
I have the Kindevu stick. Love it, but the USB cover door comes off every time I open the thing. The peg towards the front may be too short. Is there any quick fix for that?
I just ordered one of these sticks and I’m looking forward to it arriving after the new-year.
I have a ball-top on order from http://www.creativecircuits.net/custom-ball-and-bat-tops.html for an upcoming Dudley mod and it’s going to be LED compatible.
Has anyone here LED modded their joystick/balltop with a Q4 RAF? If so, how did you avoid wire twisting and what method did you use to wire the LED up inside the case and to power it?
I’d love to see other Qanbas with a lit balltop (and the internals of this kind of mod on this sick) if anyone’s managed that and I wanted to know how easy it was?
Sorry. First post, kind of terrified.
Hey guys. I’ve had the Qanba Q4RAF for about 1 year and I haven’t had a single issue with it until now. Whenever I plug in my stuck to a PC, Xbox, or PS3, it’s completely unresponsive and none of the LEDs light up. I was using it an hour ago without problems, I go back to play some SF4, and now it suddenly doesn’t work. I treat this thing like my own child.
Any ideas on how to diagnose or repair it? I’m guessing the PCB is burned up, but I want to be sure before I go throwing parts at it. Where’s a good place to go for replacement Qanba Q4RAF parts?
Just got my Q4 RAF recently. Gotta love the felt bottom and more muted look compared to MCZ Calibur stick <3
Got my Q4 yesterday that I ordered from eightarc. Feels and plays great, but USB compartment door sticks out when closed. Pushed it in and nothing. Looks like it’s bent outwards. Anyone have this problem? I don’t know if I should go through the hassle of exchanging it since it’s more of a cosmetic problem because the stick works great so far and the door still stays closed and doesn’t pop open.
