The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

I have a limited edition red qanba q4 I have the exact same problem. The letters labelled “headphone jack” have fallen over by just wiping (very gently) with the cloth. Mine now reads “Headph_n_ J_a_” I find this so annoying.

On a limited edition stick which looks so nice it ruins it for me. The letters are nice and silver and really bugs me and is very visible to me. It seems like I’m not the only person to have had this problem with this exact same stick.

The letters are lost! Is there any way for me to buy/get these missing letters that magically drop off?

I would like get them back on there. It ruins for me such a lovely looking stick, which was also quite expensive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Simple modification of the Q4_d3v template with the artwork layer of the apex_SNK_TE template.

Nice stuff!

Sorta reminds me of adidas.

I have tried searching within this site and through Google and have not found any answers to this yet:

I just purchased a Seimitsu LS-58 from the good folks at Videogamesnewyork at Otakon in Baltimore this past weekend and I am having problems installing it on my Q4RAF. It seemed to be a simple unscrew JLF, unplug harness, mount LS-58, plug in harness but alas that does not seem to be the case. Do I have to utilize the harness that came with the LS-58 or should the JLF that is already installed work fine? I am able to register up and the up diagonals but none of the down, down diagonals, or left/right are registering. Thanks for any help and sorry if this has been covered already.

Mike

You need a P-40 Mounting Plate. I actually swapped the JLF for a LS-56 on my Q4 and it worked wonders. Never had a LS-58 but it seems it has the same hole layout of the LS-56.

Hi,

I think I mentioned this before, my Qanba Q4 disconnects randomly. Sometimes, it disconnects when something is plugged in the same electric cord where the PS3 is plugged-in. It even disconnects after someone rang the doorbell. All the lights will flash red and I have to reassign it to the PS3. The situation varies depending on the house or location I’m playing at.

Kindly help me because this is my main stick and I bring it to tournaments and events.

Is there a way I can fix it?

Just wondering, what does the Q2 professional edition looks like when catered for left handed players? Only pics I can find are for standard edition.

Thank you for the reply but let me clarify, the stick mounted perfectly but I used the harness that was already in the q4raf from the JLF and I am getting bad inputs. I suppose I need to solder the harness in that came with the LS-58?

Make sure the joystick pcb is facing the same way the jlf did. Plug the harness in upside down. Should work great.

You cannot plug the harness upside down in anything other than MadCatz sticks because Qanba use the proper style connectors.

Next best thing he can do is re-arrange the pin order going to the connector by gently releasing the plastic tabs.

there are pics provided in this thread in the pics showing off the Q2 pro’s

Does anyone know if the Q2 pro can be dual modded to add xbox 360 support?

Ah, right. Think I just confused myself. The professional edition flipped over looks is more than likely not favorable over the standard.

Looking forward to some footage of this thing in action.

I need some help:

On my Q4 it always shows that my mic is connected so I am not able to use my wireless headset on 360.

I’ve unplugged the cable that connects to the pcb, and it still shows the mic is running. I assume I have a faulty pcb? Also the red mode light comes on when the 360 is powered off and stays on.
I took pictures of the pcb if that will help

Thanks for the reply, how would I go about releasing the plastic tabs? Do you mean removing the wires from the pins in the harness and re-arranging them? Would it be easier to just cut the plastic end off of the JLF harness and solder the new LS-58 harness together while matching the color wires?

There are no pins in the plastic connector, just small tabs which lock the wire crimps in place. Use a small flat bladed instrument to gently lift the tab and pull out the wires, then re-arrange in the order you need.

No, re-arranging the wire order will be easier. And the colour coding for Seimitsu & Sanwa joystick harness is different so you cannot follow that. You will either need to look at a harness guide or use your own logic by looking at the signal lines on the joystick pcb.

Who do I contact to get a Q2, don’t wish to get it from PA as the import fees would be crazy.

My cord storage door just broke on my Ice Red Qanba, any suggestions? The latch snapped off. :frowning: ANY WAY TO GET A REPLACEMENT?

Hello

I just received my new Qanba Q4RAF stick a few days ago, it’s my first stick, and I’m having some problems with it. Nothing major(I hope) but:

  1. The stick makes a little whining noise (if that’s the right word) when I move it to the right. There are no weird noises when moving the stick to other directions.
The sound is insignificant when playing, but it has still gotten me worried over the health of the stick. It’s like I should oil it or something to prevent the noise, but I’m pretty sure that’s not the correct way to fix it, and I don’t want to void my warranty already.
Do even think this is a problem, or should I just live with it?

  2. I’m not totally sure if this only applies to the Qanba Q4RAF stick, but every time I launch up SSFIV:AE on the PC, I’m forced to rebind every input on my stick. It doesn’t work at all at first, I actually have to use my keyboard to choose the specific button I want to bind before pressing the button on the stick. I haven’t had any similar problems while playing other games on the X360 for example.

  3. Also, is there a place in Windows where you can bind the keys beforehand, like by opening a driver software or something? I think I’ve seen some graphs where you can see the stick with the buttons, x and y axis etc, but I’m not sure if this is a part of the driver or is it some 3rd party software? I can see the joystick in “Devices and Printers” as a “QanBa Joystick Plus” controller, but clicking it doesn’t provide me with any useful information. I’ve tried using it on both PS3/PC mode andX360 modes.

Other than those minor, although a bit irritating problems, I’m having a blast with the stick, and I can’t wait to get better on using it.
At first I was sure that I’d change the artwork and maybe some buttons on it, but now when I see the stick in person I can’t stop to admire its beautiful and sleek looks. Good job!

Contact Qanba or Eightarc?

I bought mine from Eightarc and they replaced my door for free.
