If you’re concerned about voiding your warranty, it’s…you know, in-warranty. Assumedly, you should be able to just get it fixed for free if it’s a manufacturing or shipping issue.
Not exactly sure what u mean, My point was more that I am pretty sure I can fix the issue if it just lose wiring etc. And I am gonna have the stick on an exhibition place in 2 weeks so I don’t really want to send it anywhere currently. So my plan is to open it but then if I cant fix it, I would like to send it — but I assume that is not possible.
If you can get a hold of paxos or Xianglong (llx8000) I’m sure they will do their best to help you.
If you want to open it and void your warranty, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Honestly, if you wanted a replacement, you’d have to go through the trouble of shipping your stick back, which may cost a lot. And with Qanba’s excellent customer service, they help you out even after your warranty is over. One of my Qanbas had the 2nd player LED not working so I emailed zhongxianglong@hotmail.com. He asked for pictures of the inside (which you’ll have to void your warranty, but it was past the 90 day warranty anyways) and two weeks later a new pcb and led board arrived in the mail. His customer service is really good, no questions asked, or any need of proof of purchase. I’ve seen people posting about problems on this thread and he has asked them for pictures to help them diagnose the problem themselves. Often times, it is just a loose connection.
How to quanba’s compare to eightarcs? i can get a quanba cheaper want a stick thats multi console :0
eightarc sticks are basically oem qanba sticks that have been slightly customized by eightarc.
Qanbas and Eightarcs are the same thing. The pcbs, buttons, joystick, case, felt bottom, design, it’s all the same except for two differences: 1. Eightarcs do not have a carrying handle. 2. Eightarcs have the start button on the mirrored control panel in the upper right corner, whereas Qanbas have the start button to the right of the 8 buttons. People don’t like the start button next to the 8 buttons, but I’ve honestly never paused during a match on accident. I don’t think the placement is an issue.
Eightarcs, as I am aware, are just “re-branded” Qanbas. So for the difference in about $30, it all boils down to whether or not you want a handle.
Cool, the handle doesnt really effect me either way tbh i doubt i’d carry it with the handle but in that case im prob better into looking into a quanba? i can get one easily in the UK, whereas i’ll have to import a eightarc. I use a hori VXSA right now which has the start button there also and isent a problem for me.
Qanba has been known to give out handles [EDIT: after you receive the stick] if you got an old one with no handle. Not to knock the Eightarc, but I don’t see the point in buying it over a Qanba (personally).
Sweet so would you say Quanba > Madcatz VS stick trying to decide which to get i know the vs isent dual modded but yea
Hi guys i’m a newbie regarding joysticks, i just got a Q4 raf . When i try it with SSFIVAE and go to set it up (with the 360pad) it finds it but as soon as i press any button to try to config, the game just crashes every time, it works fine with SFIV and mame. I’m going mad pls help me
I could be wrong, but I don’t think the stick would cause the game to crash. Have you tried going into the button configuration screen without the Qanba plugged in?
I have now opened my stick(its open right now), and even if I disconnect the switch for the buttons, it still gives input for B circle.
man you were right it still does it even with the 360 pad
so do you think a reinstall will do it?
It wouldn’t hurt to try.
What kind of pcb does the qanba stick use?
i tryed reinstalling but it still crashes
Maybe your SSFIV disk is dirty or scratched. Try cleaning it and installing it to your HDD; if it installs completely and still crashes I’m not sure what it can be (corrupt save file?).
Does the Qanba executive still visit this thread? I need to know the part names for the q4 because i want to maintain a stock of spares for myself in emergencies. are the buttons osbf 30 or osbn 30? and what is the model number of the sanwa square gate joystick?
I have received your email and told our designer.
big button:OBSF-30,STRAT Button:OBSF-24,JOYSTICK:JLF-TP-8YT-SK
