The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

Yesterday I received a blue handle from mr. Xian Long(Qanba), he sent that to me from China, and I live in Portugal, i´m very appreciate, things like that makes a customer happy:china: BTW there are any tutorial how to put the handle?

Hi Seqo. User Shingotink was kind enough to put together a tutorial for those who got the handle for the sticks that didn’t come with them originally.

Alrighty I’ve been directed here so I can probably get the right advice/tips here.

I have the blue QANBA with the 6 button layout rather than 8. I have a plexi with 8 buttons out and 2 plugs. Would I be better off getting a 6 button layout artwork and reuse my plexi I have using the instructions above to wipe it or would I be better off using the 8 button new plexi with 2 plugs. I’m just afraid I would ruin the plexi somehow.

What does the mode button do?
Whenever i press it there seems to be no indication of what it is doing?Am using it on the 360

Hi BegottenPrism4, Plaxo answered this question on the page 48:

thanks eric

Switches between D-Pad and Left Stick mode. I don’t know of any reason to turn it on. If you turn it on and press a direction, you’ll notice that your inputs get drawn out…sort of. The only way to understand is to just look at it.

Also, can we get that stickied, haha.

I sent an email to you at zhongxianglong@hotmail.com on Feb 9th about getting an ice blue handle and a replacement white start button because mine came with purple instead of the white like the pictures. I havent gotten a response yet, are you still sending out handles?

Button presses are a bit stiffer and there’s some “resistance” compared to a Sanwa OBSF buttons.

Hi! Could anyone please mail me the wiring diagram for headset issues? wich wires am i supposed to switch? Regards // Stefan

fauxtool: please write another email and ask for the current status of your shipment.
stefan: done.

I modded my Q4 with a switch, in the cord compartment, to disable the start button. I’ve never had to actually use it during play at home. If I ever go to a tournament I’ll probably use it.

Hello.

I’ve been researching the Qanba Q4RAF Joystick, as I’m thinking of buying one. I heard that, since it’s not a licensed stick, firmware updates can screw me over (Source - Top comment). Should I be worried about it? Why/why not?

Thanks in advance.

Lokinario.

I’ve had my Q4 for a while now and I love it, but I do have a question:

Having read through this thread briefly, it seems the ill-fitting plexi thing is pretty common. Is there a policy on replacement plexis for people like me who have bent panels? I have photos if necessary.

i don’t know about the way qanba handles those slightly too large plexis, but you can surely ask your supplier if you can return the faulty plexi and get one that fits perfectly in exchange.

nevertheless, a less complicated way to solve the problem is by using abrasive / sand paper to cut the plexi to the perfect size.

I’m a little bit apprehensive about it since it’s the only panel I have (it’s the stock one) and messing it up basically equals an incredibly ugly and barely functional stick.

It’s certainly something I’d be willing to entertain if I had a spare in the wings, but I just don’t at the moment.

ok, then i would suggest you ask your retailer about a replacement first.

hey i just grabbed one of these today. I have 2 questions

  1. it came with a 360 wired headset. How do i get it to work with my ps3?
  2. How do you get custom faceplates?
  1. you don’t; you still need a bluetooth or USB headset for PS3
  2. you need to create a template with photoshop and buy a a clear plexi to overlay it
