The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

Question about the Q4raf’s initial plexiglass.

Can I use paint remover to remove the artwork from the panel, I want to customize my stick art, but I’m hella broke.

nope u wont get IMG tags paxos :stuck_out_tongue: it comes out how u see it in the text area down bottom, when u add a picture with the picture icon above the text area, a window pops up with a insert link here then click ok, then it auto loads the picture to where ur selection was without any tags

to clean plexi glass:
Nail polish remover without acetone.
microfibre wipe, put wipe on print for a few minutes so it can soak it, then rub in circular motion.
do twice to get excess off.
then use plastic cleaner/polish.

Questions for the Q4 owners. Do you ever feel that the start button ever gets in the way?

has any one modded these http://www.qanbashop.com/EN/USD/product/QanbaPC-versionDualArcade-fightstick-7.html thinking of getting one for a budget mame build

I received my Qanba today and my start button is sanwa and i do have the 2.5mm headphone jack so i would guess it is the newer models.

Hey i emailed about getting my icy blue handle and you wrote that you would send it after chinese NY and i still haven’t received anything. is this still happening or what?

No. If you use the default 6 buttons on the stick (the ones in a Viewlix layout), even your pinky is a good 2 inches away from the start button. The only way you’d even remotely get close to hitting the start button accidentally is if you use the six buttons on the right for a “straight” layout, and even then, you’d have to be mashing pretty hard.

The only real disadvantage I notice in having the button on top is reaching “start + select” to restart training mode in MvC3 =P.

If you accidently hit the start button, then maybe you should reconsider playing fighting games because your hand to eye coordination is terrible.

Thanks for the new mic wire and headset. Excellent customer service from Qanba!

It has nothing to do with hand eye in most cases. in situations where it requires someone to mash a lot of players just slide their hand across the face of the stick.

valexand: please send an e-mail again to ask about the status of your handle. thanks

stoogie: i only asked because my initial pictures were also posted by way of the insert button and you replied that this was not the correct way to post them.

ur confusing me now XD

stoogie: perhaps i misread your post below the pictures on page 48 of this thread - i thought that you proposed changing the way i posted those pictures…well, anyway :).

Thanks. Just placed my order, hope it arrives soon!

i can see ur pictures they are working ! :stuck_out_tongue:

i rather the q4raf over hrap v3 sa

Like when? If you play Honda, Chun, or Blank in SF4, you should really be piano-ing. Even if you slide, you’d have to go waaay too far to hit the start button.

If you mean in Marvel, you can easily mash to max damage with one button, or two buttons using two hands.

What other game do you need to mash in? SF Alpha?

Plenty of games do. First example I can think of is Ah3. Vine Super drain, Yoriko life drain super, Akane Critical Heart.
If we’re discounting everything non-capcom, you need to mash out of grabs in 3s, some of the better players mash like fucking crazy to break grabs.

Hey guys so I finally got my White Q4 RAF yesterday and finished putting the custom artwork and switching out the baltop and buttons.

I picked it up from Video Games New York in person since I live here in NYC. To answer a few people’s questions, the sticks you buy at any time now should be the new model sticks. All the buttons (even the start) and the Joystick are Sanwa and come stock. I had a blue balltop and black dustwasher laying around but had to buy the 2 30mm and 1 24mm Clear Sanwa buttons to go with the design. It came with the 2.5 mm headphone jack and two white button caps. It also comes with the handle right out of the box.

It was much easier than I expect to take off the original plexi and put in the the new plexi and custom artwork. The custom plexi was just slightly larger then the area it sat in but the buttons held it down. I want to thank **deathzerozx **for coming up with the design and providing me with it within a days time.

I played SSFIV and Marvel yesterday on my new Qanba and not once did I hit the Start button out of mashing or by sliding my hand around the face of the stick. I don’t know how people continue to hit that button during matchs. During the Winter Brawl stream it happened several times and they continued the match but wouldn’t you be consicous of the button after the first time you hit it mid match?

eric: very nice. post it on qanba’s FB wall if you want.
