The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

I posted this in the newbie questions thread, but I figured this would also be a good place to ask: my friend got a Qanba Q4RAF (really great stick), and just today we tried using it with my Xbox, and it wasn’t getting detected. The Xbox/Ps3 switch was certainly in the right position (though we tried both). The USB port was fine, as other wired controllers worked in both USB ports while the Qanba worked in neither. The Qanba was also receiving power from the Xbox (the LEDs for turbo lit up), and the Xbox was receiving data from the stick, as it was possible to turn the Xbox on with it; however, it just absolutely refused to recognize that the Qanba existed once the console was on (it would only register there being one controller when two sticks were plugged in). The stick also works just fine on my computer. Any thoughts?

According to the little slip of paper in my box, use should be as follows:

1. Turn on the console
2. Put the Q4’s console select switch in the proper place
3. Plug in the stick
4. Press the home button

I live in the US. I just want to order from the most reliable place and a place that really takes good care of their customers. Also i would like to know from you qanba stick users if the start button on the side gets in the way when playing?

FocusAttack will definitely take care of you. I preordered the Limited Edition Ice Red Q4RAF from them, but I have several prior business transactions with them and their customer service is incredible.

Yes it is I ordered a Qanba from there in Dec and it arrived very fast it great condition I would buy from them again

please check switch cap(switch for xbox360,ps3/pc).
if you switch XBOX360,then you plug in PC, you will find XBOX360 controller at pc
if you switch PS3/PC, then you plug in PC, you will find “qanba joystick” at pc

if you switch XBOX360,then you plug in PC, you find “qanba joystick” at pc,means switch cap loose.please fix switch cap.

The stick is the one giving me problems, diagonal directions (BU,DB,UF,DF) doesn’t seem to work properly, sometimes it just doesn’t work at all, at times my character will just go crouch stand crouch stand in a spastic motion if i hold DB or DF.
Sorry for the lousy description but does anyone know the problem? I really like this stick and I want to continue using it.

I don’t really understand, so should the mode light be turned off or on? If it should be turned off then it didn’t solve the problem, it’s still giving me the problems mentioned.

MODE LED light is joystick

MODE LED off is D-pad.

if you set up JLF at MODE LED light(joystick),when you play you press MODE led off (D-Pad),will lost some direct.

you need set up JLF again.

I just went in there a couple days ago for the first time. It’s more like a wonderful video game museum (that R.O.B…) than a store. The employee I talked to was incredibly knowledgeable about everything relating to sticks and games. Such a nice change from Gamestop.

I also want to thank llx8000 for being so active on here. That’s great direct customer service, and one of the reasons I plan on getting one of the new SE sticks as soon as I see a picture.
