Does this mean M3x8mm?
Also, got my Ice Q4 today, rather happy with the construction, outside of one of the ground pins being seperated from the header (not a huge deal, I just pushed it back in its header), and some cracks in the plexi around the edges and the sticks hole. Not a huge deal for me, as I plan on getting a clear panel anyway, but I figured i’d mention it in case it comes up again.
So I need to send the stick off to you, or should I just buy myself a new set of buttons?
Yes,M3*8mm
We tset Sanwa clear buttons, found clear button sound,it difference black button and white button, some clear buttons sound high,
We have told Sanwa .
The stick is the one giving me problems, diagonal directions (BU,DB,UF,DF) doesn’t seem to work properly, sometimes it just doesn’t work at all, at times my character will just go crouch stand crouch stand in a spastic motion if i hold DB or DF.
Sorry for the lousy description but does anyone know the problem? I really like this stick and I want to continue using it.
I don’t really understand, so should the mode light be turned off or on? If it should be turned off then it didn’t solve the problem, it’s still giving me the problems mentioned.
What gate does the qanba q4raf use? Oct or square?
Square, like every stock JLF.
Hello I just got my Qanba Q4RAF and I read somewhere on SRK that the Q4 will work with a Backwards compatible PS3 is that true? Please help because I have Capcom vs SNK2 just sitting around that I could really play with the new stick
Has anybody here sanded down their plexiglass to make it fit properly?? If so what grit paper did you use and how long did it take??
The plexiglass I have is 2-3mm too wide so I plan to sand it down. Can’t find my belt sander and I don’t want to wait on another plexiglass panel so if you guys have done this before I would appreciate any advice.
Can someone send me the re-wiring diagram to fix the headset issue? Finally tried using it after having a Q4 since last August and apparently have the issue. etan.psi@gmail.com
Thanks!
Ordered a Q4RAF (BLUE CRYSTAL EDITION). Hopefully it is clean.
I managed to sand mine down and get it to fit. I’m not sure what grit paper it was because I didn’t go out of my way to buy sand paper for this project. Luckily, my dad had one piece of sandpaper in his tool box that was unused. It was pretty rough. Although the sandpaper was rough, after sanding down the plexiglass the side was still smooth so I don’t think you need a fine grit. Here’s how I did it:
First, place the oversized plexi on your stick to see what side is long. For me, the left side of the plexi aligned with the screw holes and the right side was too long. That’s how I knew I had to sand the right side. It is important that you check this because another member on here managed to sand his plexi to fit, but the screw holes no longer aligned with the holes so the plexi was useless.
Next, I taped my sand paper to a hard flat surface. I used a text book. I did this so that when I sanded the plexi, it would come out straight. After taping it to a flat surface, place that surface on the ground. I had my foot on the book to keep it steady and with the plexi in my hands, I rocked the plexi back and forth. I thought it was easier to get a straight edge this way than holding the plexi still and moving the sandpaper with my hand. Instead, I relied on a stable flat surface for the sand paper and moved the plexi against it.
After you shave enough off the sides, it’ll create weird corners that still won’t fit so you’ll need to sand down the corners. I did this by putting the sandpaper in a hand grip and sanding the corners down by hand rather than the rocking motion described above.
Total time took like an hour. Good luck.
Received my handle for the Ice Blue LE yesterday, thanks so much for the awesome service!
Problem is, I’m a total noob…how do you install it? Thanks again for the help!
Any possibility of getting metal replacements for the q4raf that use the same layout has the hrap 3 shown here:

Here’s a tutorial I made… hope it helps.
What is the best place to order a Qanba Stick?
meech: there is no such thing :).
depends from where you live…
I live in the US. I just want to order from the most reliable place and a place that really takes good care of their customers. Also i would like to know from you qanba stick users if the start button on the side gets in the way when playing?
I posted this in the newbie questions thread, but I figured this would also be a good place to ask: my friend got a Qanba Q4RAF (really great stick), and just today we tried using it with my Xbox, and it wasn’t getting detected. The Xbox/Ps3 switch was certainly in the right position (though we tried both). The USB port was fine, as other wired controllers worked in both USB ports while the Qanba worked in neither. The Qanba was also receiving power from the Xbox (the LEDs for turbo lit up), and the Xbox was receiving data from the stick, as it was possible to turn the Xbox on with it; however, it just absolutely refused to recognize that the Qanba existed once the console was on (it would only register there being one controller when two sticks were plugged in). The stick also works just fine on my computer. Any thoughts?
According to the little slip of paper in my box, use should be as follows:
- Turn on the console
- Put the Q4’s console select switch in the proper place
- Plug in the stick
- Press the home button
