Well good news bad news, my laptop running win7 registered the q3 just fine(at least after some 15 minute hang up with the drivers) . Bad news is the placement of the r2 button in Street Fighter IV makes the stick damn near useless for it since that is the start button in the game menu and unless i’m missing something everything can be remapped but that. So since the R2 is smack dab in the middle it just isn’t good for that, but i’m sure it would be alright for Mame or something.
Is that wired only? Thanks. Also, I wonder if xpadder could get around that?
Wireless worked but like I said the default layout on Street Fighter IV just was all messed up using the stick, only one kick button mapped for instance . Plugged in my VSHG to compare and had no issues like that in the game.
You guys should try something like XPadder to remap the arcade stick to your keyboard.
Hey guys,
I have been meaning to purchase an arcade stick for some time and although I often visit this forum (first time posting here) I have only recently discovered Qanba. My main reason for purchasing an arcade stick is to play MAME emulated games so I’d like to know how Qanba performs under MAME (and generally when connected to the PC).
Do you need any special drivers to run a Qanba arcade stick on PC? Is it painstaking to install it and use it on PC and has anyone tried it in MAME yet?
Thanks.
Also , I know this is a Qanba thread but I was wondering if it’s at all worth getting a Qanba for a MAME set up or whether I should go with something that’s perhaps cheaper but also comes with Sanwa parts.
Awesome, I just wish the stick was a little bit more distant from the buttons
the code QANBASRK does not work on Alcart anymore, is there another code?
Just got mine from play asia for 140.
Same here, $99 + $45 - $8 = WIN!
Hey Xianglong, do you know if tech has a .pdf template for the Qanba 3? I’m not exactly sure of my own measurements and they always turn out wrong. Loving my Q3 stick, especially sweet with a blue mesh ball top + blue/black buttons!
Accidentally hitting the “mode/turbo” buttons, mode + select doesn’t reset the settings though…unless I’m doing it wrong.

Any word of a PS3 version of this? This is by far the best looking Qanba stick, but I only have a PS3.
The PS3 version came out before the 360 for since February (or late 2009/early 2010)
It’s essentially the same thing as the Q3 except that the 360 controllers have a optional 3.5mm headjack option(I think, dunno I only had the original Xbox and I needed an addon to the controller for Live) and there’s a dock for the 360 cable, charging for sure, not sure about wired play.
Nah, I want a fully wired PS3 version. With that sexy cable compartment.
I am thinking of picking up a Qanba2. Has anyone here purchased from ahcart? The pictures show a generic pattern, tekken art, and SF4 art. And there is a note saying that extra SF4 art will be provided. How does that work, exactly? What art is included in the package, exactly? Also, is there a compartment for the wire like a TE or HRAP V3?
Do the Qanba 2 and 3 have the same art measurements? If not, a template for the Q2 would also be much appreciated.
Can anybody make a video of his qanba q2 stick? Because I didn’t find one on youtube or any website and I really want to see it in action.
I think the Qanba 2’s artwork works the same as the Q3. You need to remove the metallic stickers over the screws holding down the plexiglass first. After that, I think the buttons and ball top need to be popped out for the art to be placed in then reverse the steps(Buttons, ball top, plexiglass and screw it back in).
Again, I don’t own a Q2 but I think the only difference between the two is that the Q3 is wireless and has a wood casing(both maybe made outta wood) and there are no extra buttons on the face of the stick…other than that, I would think the template with be same in dimensions.
added:
Well I was looking at someone’s template that he’s charging for which was a preview size so I took the TE template and shrunk it down to the Qanba 3 template thumbnail and it’s exactly the same…So I’m guessing for anyone who wants a custom template can use the TE template for theirs. Another work and question arises:
-4, 3, 2, 1, Turbo and Mode need to be measured.
-How bright are the LED indicators? Thinking that I would print on thicker paper.
I’m sure there are others but I’m thinking of printing this as a trial template seeing if it fits and if the paper will show the LED indicators:

Q2 joystick and buttons are lower than on the Q3. They needed space for the 3 buttons on top of the joystick.
