Does the Q3 RAF work with ps2 games on backward compatible PS3s?

Because I definitely intend to get one if it allows for backward compatible play. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think the Qanba 2’s artwork works the same as the Q3. You need to remove the metallic stickers over the screws holding down the plexiglass first. After that, I think the buttons and ball top need to be popped out for the art to be placed in then reverse the steps(Buttons, ball top, plexiglass and screw it back in).
Again, I don’t own a Q2 but I think the only difference between the two is that the Q3 is wireless and has a wood casing(both maybe made outta wood) and there are no extra buttons on the face of the stick…other than that, I would think the template with be same in dimensions.

Well I was looking at someone’s template that he’s charging for which was a preview size so I took the TE template and shrunk it down to the Qanba 3 template thumbnail and it’s exactly the same…So I’m guessing for anyone who wants a custom template can use the TE template for theirs. Another work and question arises:
-4, 3, 2, 1, Turbo and Mode need to be measured.
-How bright are the LED indicators? Thinking that I would print on thicker paper.

I’m sure there are others but I’m thinking of printing this as a trial template seeing if it fits and if the paper will show the LED indicators:

just a quick question…why don’t you take off the top panel and scan it?

Unfortunately no scanner at my disposal at the moment though the TE template does look like it’ll be 98% the same.

Basically I choose Q3 over TE and RAP V3 because it does come with more features while perform as good as the TE stick.

Well, I tried to buy a Qanba 2 from ahcart, but the experience was a pretty bad one. I got a couple of AVS (address verification system) errors which made my transactions invalid, but which still held up a lot of my credit. When I finally realized what was happening I had pretty much maxed out my credit limit. I tried to contact ahcart to ask them for help to get the transactions cancelled, but I got zero replies. I had to wait until the time limit for my bank to give me back my credit, which was more than a week. So yeah, if you decide to buy from ahcart you should have your billing form beside you. I would have done the same but my billing statements are in my home country, 3000 kilometers away.

What exactly happened? Did the errors keep charging your credit card? If so, that’s some pretty messed up system unless they were temporary transactions but that would be pretty screwed as well…
Not sure if Play-Asia carries it but they offer the Q3 $40 difference to Ahcart when the $20 coupon is applied so that’s always an alternate for next time consideration.

I think the Qanba offices are connected to Ahcart so if any contact is needed, you could have possibly tried any of the branches(US should be best).

The way Credit Card Gateways work is that they contact your Bank and your Bank puts the money on hold. Then if there’s no verification from the Gateway, the bank releases the hold a few days later. If your CC didn’t match the information you gave it, this is probably what happened. I run a store and customers complain to me about this thinking I’ve stole their money.

Well, in my case the bank is 99% sure that the reason was I put a roman numeral “I” in my address instead of the “1” that the system expected. Personally I think the whole thing was quite annoying, but the point I was trying to make was that my bank told me I could have had the transactions cancelled by the next day if I could only get ahcart to acknowledge that they were invalid. I couldn’t get any kind of reply from them, though, which annoyed me even more.

@syn13: They were temporary transactions, but that fact did little to decrease the inconvenience of spending more than a week with zero credit.

It has a sturdy feel to it, is wireless, works when playing ps3 and backward compatible ps2 games (for all your old school fighting game needs), is not too bad on the eyes, AND has all Sanwa parts.
