The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

If you’re pressing the buttons yourself and trying it at the same time without any setup doing it for you in sync you’re already doing it wrong. Human error exist is why he made a 1 button sync.

thanks for the clarification.

well, the first test was conducted by SHORYUKEN.com, not by me (or qanba, for that matter), see http://shoryuken.com/2011/12/12/srklabs-in-depth-review-eightarc-fusion-ps3pcxbox360-joystick/.

so the critique should be directed towards them.

Both the SRK test and the test by Toodles had the same button set up to activate for both sticks.

Problem with the SRK test was that there were many external factors that could have influenced the result (such as a bad dual mod, or just the fact that the results were based on human interpretation).

Any idea who “SRK Labs” is?

Just wanted to chime in that my replacement wire door arrived today. Stick is once again complete. Thanks.

Just got my Q4 RAF Black delivered. Bought it from Canadian Joysticks.

So far this looks and feels like a fantastic stick on my PS3 (although I’m no expert). It also came with the two button covers, a piece of cloth for wiping and an over-the ear headset/mic which I probably won’t use but it’s a nice addition (is it X360 only?). Just played with it for about an hour and all the buttons, LEDs, and everything seems to be working fine.

Thanks Qanba for the replacement parts. My stick finally works properly again. Turns out it was the cord that was the problem

The RB/R1 button on my Q4RAF limited edition ice-red just gave out, help?

I just read on arcade shock’s facebook page that the new batch of Qanba sticks that they’re getting is going to be special. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what they meant by that?

Hey, I just received my Qanba Q4RAF Blue Crystal stick, and I was wondering if it’s possible to get a matching dark blue handle for it through llx8000/Xianglong or any of the other guys that work for Qanba, as it’d be lovely to get one for it. Thanks!

If the button still assembled to the quick disconnects(signal and ground) so just snap in it again! If not you´ve got to open it to assemble the signal and ground again!

Edit: BTW I´ve got my blue 6 buttons version here package, received at 10 min ago!
When I open it I’ll do a review of this version, saying by the now it does not come with handles and headset are negative points, the lack of buttons L1/LB L2/LT is another downside, these buttons should have been placed elsewhere!

Had the qanba q4raf for a couple of months, only problem i have is that it disconnects sometimes when i move the fight stick (after a match if i move and re-position the fight stick, it will disconnect and i have to hold the ps home button and reconnect it again).

I got a replacement 6-button plexi and metal plate for my new white Q4, but the plexi is way too big. I uploaded some pictures here:

I contacted Qanba for a replacement, and I’m hoping it can be replaced. I’ll update you guys on how it goes.

our Q4 RAF 3in1 stick with 2.5mm headphone jack used our new pcb,new pcb have new functions:

MODE button can work for XBOX360/PS3/PC

Mode Button:D-pad to LS(left joystick),Default is D-Pad,press Mode button once,Mode led light,it will be LS(joystick).
this function for old pc Simulator games like KWARKS etc.
when Mode led light, press Mode button once,Mode Led off,LS to D-Pad.

Turbo button can work for XBOX360/PS3/PC

Turbo button have turbo(press once) and auto turbo (press twice)

turbo and auto turbo :

1.turbo:turbo can work for buttons and work for d-pad(joystick):
1).press 30MM button(or 30MM buttons) same time press once turbo button,then the 30MM button(or 30MM buttons) have turbo function.

2.Auto turbo(only work for 30MM buttons):press 30MM button(or 30MM buttons) same time press twice turbo button,then 30MM button(or 30MM buttons) will have auto turbo functions.

if 30MM button(or 30MM buttons) have auto turbo,you needn’t press 30MM button(or 30MM buttons) , the 30MM button(or 30MM buttons) will auto work.

Clear turbo/auto turbo:
1.press the button(or buttons or joystick) same time press once turbo button,Turbo/auto turbo will clear.
2.Remove USB plug from console, then plug in USB to console,turbo/auto turbo will clear.

Lx8000 I guess you dint understood the bodegabuttons problem, I understood he said the buttons A and B only works on turbo mode, on normal mode it doesnt work!
BTW I received my Blue Qanba 3in1 yesterday, great arcade stick, I´m pleasure with that, and this version came with headphone jack! Very nice stick, has some issues but overall this feels great, one of the issues it´s this version does not bring the handle, so I have to grab the stick by the sides and it is in danger of breaking the compartment door, as soon as this version does not bring the handle should have the cable compartment behind and not at side, I think many people gonna break the wire door because of this! I ask if it´s possible to get one blue handle to get the stick complete, like I said it feels great but fells like something is missing!

I’m having the EXACT(although it’s only the “X” button) same problem.
What “llx8000” posted about, what I’m asuming is general info on the sticks turbo functions doesn’t really solve the issue.

Got this stick just yesterday after I’v waited almost a full week for it to arrive. Now this happens … sigh.
IF anyone out there has any tips or a possible solution to this problem It’d be extremly appreciated !

So I just got my Qanba handle from the mail today. After struggling to unwrap the damn thing this is what I saw.

Its so freaking discolored!!! Did anyone else receive something like this???

Where exactly did you purchase your plexi from? Because if you order from Arcade Shock or Focus Attack, the plexi covers there fit flush with the stick. Sure, it’s an eight button panel, but throwing button covers over the 3x Punch/Kick buttons is an easy fix for that.

How strange, but my guess is because that particular stick (like the Blue Crystal one I purchased and received in the mail a few days ago) don’t have handles on them originally, so discoloration would be expected when you request one for yours. Speaking of which, I wonder if there’s a matching blue handle for the limited edition stick I bought. D:

Hi all,
i have a problem with my qanba q4raf stick, my stick started losing inputs, it wouldn’t register all down and left inputs, i opened the case and saw that the wire (harness i think it’s called) that connects the sanwa jlf stick to the pcb has 2 of the five cables kind of loose( it was the green and the yellow ones) i tried putting pressure on these wires with a zip tie and it helps but it still loses inputs once in a while and obviously that is not a permanent solution.
Where can i find a replacement, do electronic stores sell these?or perhaps how can i make one or repair it? (if that is feasible). I saw that there are sanwa jlf-h harnesses that can be purchased, are they the same? I ask this because i tried using my madcatz te (ps3 verion) stick’s harness and the inputs afterwards were incorrect no matter the orientation of the wire. There isn’t a store in my country that sells sanwa stuff so i would like to avoid ordering a harness anyway ( i would end up paying half the price of the stick for the shipping costs).
The problem was probably caused by me, the stick is otherwise great, i have no complains.
