The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

Hey guys. I got in touch with Qanba and they were kind enough to hook me up with an official template for the Q4 six-button conversion kit:

Clone1B already told us how to do it, but for those who prefer an official template the above link should be good.

They are supposed to spin

I just bought the LE Blue Qanbar 6 buttons version, € 129.90 postage included! BTW this version gets the bottom felt?

Like as in the ball top spinning off the shaft of the stick or the stick and the ball top spinning together as one unit?

i’m pasting this from a local fighting forum, where i post, trying to find a local answer… but i had no choice but to ask the experts:

i bought this, about a year ago or so… ever since there was a problem with the audio slot.
first the iphone-like cable was non-functional.
i tried with other normal working headphones i had at home, but with no success.

i posted several pages back regarding this problem, and Xianglong politely contacted me privately.
said my equip needed a part replaced.

so i did replace the audio part (circled in yellow), and installed the cable just like he instructed, but nothing happened.
i tried to switch the connectors inside the cable, but i broke the cable instead. (red arrow)

can i find this cable in say… a radio shack or something?

does any Q4 owner got this to work on both Xbox/PS3/Pc?

Is there a more clearer diagram for the pin switching, if any is required?

Thanks in advance.

The audio port/mic port only works for xbox and PC. It does not work with PS3.

oh. i see…

please, anyone tell me if the Blue version with 6 buttons have the bottom felt!?

Has anyone with a Qanba Q4 had any problems screwing in the bottom screws my bottom will not screw in securely anymore

Can someone upload the image for the echo fix? I just went through all 43 pages trying to find it to no avail. No idea why Qanba keep emailing it to people directly instead of just posting the image publicly and saving them the hassle?

Thank you.

Hey guys having a problem with my Qanba, first off I had played Street fighter for a good 20 minutes last night, I turned off my Xbox and turned it on later today and I noticed the A and B buttons weren’t working… I was able to load the game anyway and when I got into training mode to test the buttons they still didn’t work, after pressing the turbo button I noticed they worked only when turbo was on and was being pressed over and over without me touching anything. Still haven’t managed to undo this problem kind of frustrating, I searched online and nobody else has had this problem it seems.

seqo: the 6 button version also features the textile bottom, yes.

jagz: try to use screw-in part the other way round.

junitz: this is because the PS3 usually uses bluetooth headsets. please try to contact mr zhong at zhongxianglong@hotmail.com, maybe you can get a replacement cable.

bodega: please state your problem to mr zhong and attach pictures of the stick’s inside.

the MIC rewiring “instruction” can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?0nq1dayg0lc39pb

thank you very much :).

Cheers paxos.

Interesting lag comparison video here of the Qanba Q4RAF vs. MC Cthulhu:

the first lag test made by shoryuken.com had opposite results - i.e., the eightarc (=Q4) was constantly faster than the cthulhu-modded TE. see

but in any case, they both have practically no lag. and i completely understand that godlike controls wanted to put his product in the best possible light by conducting a test under ideal conditions.
