Is Disgaea 3 any easier to get into than 1 and 2?
I think so, yeah.
It even has a cool new way of growing your characters in teams - via their seating arrangement in school.
And hey… just like in 2, you can actually level a priest/healer up by, y’know - actually healing people.******
Is there some side quests in Yakuza 3 that you can only do in certain chapters and can’t go back to? If that’s the case, I’ll probably just rush to beat the game.
There’s a couple, but you can do a New Game + thing and do the side missions later.
Does dis 3 have a cheating stage where you can stack all the dudes in one spot for mad xps
I just wanted to bring to everybody’s attention that it’s buy 1 get another half off at Toys r us for every game.
edit:
for today and tomorrow
Is that for Canada also?
thats a good deal. thx.
I’m not sure… but if you have toys r us in canada I don’t see why not, as it is on their front page. However, if you don’t and you have to get it shipped from their website I would call them first to make sure.
Played a bunch of games recently.
AvP. Fun for about an hour, then gets really stale. Yes, sneaking up on people and raping them is awesome and no one like stealth more than I do. But it gets boring and repetitive. No thanks.
Dark Void. I really liked it. Great amalgamation of flight, aerial combat, and third person, Gears-of-Waresque groud combat. If I didn’t have a gigantic list of games to play this summer, I’d be all over this one.
echochrome. Amazing. A reason for me to start smoking weed again.
I just got platinum in Yakuza 3.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, one of the hardest platinums on PS3.
BTW if you guys get a chance, play ultimate skill mode. It’s a great addition to the series and it’s addictive. By the time you beat that mode you will be a master at the game.
I could really go for PSN having a kick ass update day sometime soon. I looked at yesterdays and was like, “Really?”
wow congrats man, I still need to start it up. Mine is sitting next to my TV, but I’m trying to get the platinum in FFXIII(more time consuming than hard, though some trophies will be tough) and GoW3(not missing too many)… I can’t wait to play some Yakuza though. I might even import part 4 sometime
I finally did get the code for that extra character skin on God of War 3, but come on man…that was the most bizarre implementation of downloadable content I’ve ever experienced. Why not include the exact code with the game? That shit made no sense.
Brief summation for those who weren’t into the GOW3 hype for whatever reason: The game came with a card that has a code, but you don’t enter that into the “redeem code” section on PSN …nah, see that would actually make sense and be fairly convenient. You had to enter that code on the god of war site. After several days, the actual code is emailed to ya, and you enter that into PSN redeem codes section, and you download it that way. Apparently, only 1 code per PSN account, from what I hear. Whoever came up with that…what were you smoking? Now I will inevitably have to deal with my annoying friend begging for help with the shit because of course he has no idea what his email password is…probably forgot the screen name of it too, because aside from games, he’s still living like it’s 1989…the guy is a neanderthal when it comes to modern technology.
anyway, on top of the needless hassle involved with getting a simple downloadable “skin”… it disables trophies anyway since it also changes certain stats on Kratos, usually in the player’s favor. It makes sense since you have a big advantage when using certain skins, but it still deters one from using it for quite some time… I probably won’t use it at all until I’ve acquired that platinum trophy.
…and whatever happened to normal unlockable stuff in a game? This DLC and pre-order bonus crap has KILLED it, that’s what happened.
Developer/corporate point of view: "…hmm…why have these things in as an unlockable, when we can just hold it out as DLC? Why give it out for free when we could make a few extra dollars from nearly every player out there?"
There will be no more cool unlockable stuff in games. That era is truly at death’s door now, and we have the success of DLC to thank for that.
Maybe the ultimate edition’s codes are different because I entered the 2 codes the same night I got my copy (at a midnight release) and got the documentary and the dominus skin, the only one I couldn’t enter on PSN was the one for the soundtrack which I input on their website.
oh yeah, that was another thing…so there actually was a code for the soundtrack? That’s just crazy, man… I assumed they would’ve done it like oh…every other similar soundtrack pack-in deal and have an extra CD in there. They certainly had room in that Pandora’s Box. That’s even more strange to me than how they handled the skin codes. I think it would’ve been easier and more convenient for everyone, including the company, if it was just a separate CD.
haha, so my friend basically got his Ultimate Edition for nothing, unless I can help him out somehow. I’m annoyed yet amused at the same time, somehow. Even if I dodge him for the next 7 months, he’d still talk about that issue immediately 7 months later "hey, can you help me out with that God of War 3 content…?" I can already hear it now.
The fact your paying so much more for the " ultimate edition " And those extra costumes are not on the disc already, nor do you not receive actual cd’s for the soundtrack is a complete slap in the face. Fuck that shit.
Yeah I was pretty sad/mad when I opened my ultimate edition. I should have watched an unboxing video or something. It’s probably the worst collector’s edition I’ve bought.
yeah… Well, it’s a good thing I wasn’t able to get the so-called “Ultimate” edition then. (*I “settled” for a pre-order on the regular version, which netted me the Phantom of Chaos code.) The only physical items in there aside from packaging are the game and the little art book.
Speaking of disappointment—Dante’s Inferno had such a lame ass extra character costume that came with the Dark Forest DLC…it’s a damn disco outfit. (*fortunately, I didn’t have to pay for that; Dark Forest DLC and that extra costume was a free download for those who bought the ps3 Divine Edition…though the funny thing there is that I’ve actually never seen a regular edition on Ps3.) Please…get outta here with that joke-character foolishness. Heh, this reminds me though… only 1 more trophy in that game until I hit platinum…finding all the Judas silver coins…I’d have to start over from stage 1 though. If you miss one of those silver Judas coins, you’ve screwed the entire thing, as there is no stage select, nor does it carry over to the next playthru.
Bayonetta has bitchin unlockables, and a shit load of em to. I know where you’re coming from though Million. A lot of game devs do hold out shit as DLc. You know Uncharted has an ass load of unlocks to that could have easily been DLc but ND gave it to us old school style. That was pretty dope.
