well, looks like it’s officially a wrap for this thread. time to look elsewhere.
LMAO, yeah I feel the same way.
BTW I just completed all the completion lists in the game. So I’ve officially done all the sidequests, hitman missions, minigames, coin locker keys, dining, modding, heat actions & coliseum battles. I just beat the game and I have to say it was an amazing experience. According to my savefile it took 100+hrs to do all of that which isn’t very surprising. Some of the items you get for completing certain lists are broken, I am playing through hard right now and I refuse to use them lol. I’m two trophies away from getting platinum, all I need is to beat EX Hard mode and ultimate skill mode (which is a mode you get after you beat the game)
Reserved Castlevania Lord of Shadows today. Other reserves I’m waiting on are SSF4 and Lost Planet 2 for April and May. Still no reserve date for Sengoku Basara 3… :bluu:
Enjoying FFXIII a lot! About 16 hours in now and some big robot boss I’m fighting with Sahz and Vanille is beating me up good. I got the strat guide so I know what to do but still. Anyway I’m at the point where I originally couldn’t stand Snow but more and more I’m starting to like him. There’s no hope for me liking Hope though…
Hey Sarangha, how’d you unlock all of the colosseum/arena fights? I did the first two and finished them completely but none of the others unlocked. This is in my last chapter save, hard playthrough.
Would you say it’s impossible to miss any sub-missions? It seems that they just show up when they want to, and more unlock after you finish them.
uncharted 2 is the business. i’m at my grandmother’s house using her old ass orion tv and it’s STILL looking gorgeous on regular av’s.
Man, I just started using the dual shock today. What a difference! I’m gonna go wreck some Bioshock 2 multi now.
Basically you have to beat each tournament 3 times. Sometimes even more depending on the requirement. There are even tournaments you can’t enter or won’t show up unless you learn all 3 special moves from Master Komaki.
As far as the side quests go, there are about a few side quests you can miss in a play-through. But the good news is if you use your clear data and start a premium adventure game, you can finish any side quest you miss. Whats cool about premium adventure is you can sleep and change the time of day. Some side quests happen during the day, evening or night. So this is a very welcome feature imo. In premium adventure you can also do any of the completion lists and the story portion is non-existent in this mode.
whats the deal on ffIX? i know its gotta be friday in japan, now…when are they going to put this game on the psn?
What’s in the update? my PS3 is downloading it right now.
removal of the ability to install linux. so it’s more of a “downgrade”
I would like that copy of the game please.
YAY! My PS3 does less then everything now!
Where can I get a cord for my dual shock controllers? Doesn’t have to be official ps3 ones, anything cheap would be nice.
Anywhere that sells USB cords. Radioshack, Best Buy, pretty much any compute,/camera/electronics type store.
Yeah, if you want just ask for a mini-usb cord.
Liking the Lost Planet 2 competitive MP demo way more than the first cooperative one. Which is probably ass-backwards in the case of this particular title, but whatever. May check it out for the single-player, and stay for the competitive MP.
And I know it’s just a demo, but LP2 might be the first PS3 MT Framework game to have screen tearing. By no means a dealbreaker, but kinda makes me sad.
Also Sony and/or Capcom should step it up & negotiate two PS3 exclusive skins.
Out of curiosity, did you actually play the Co-op demo with people you know?
To be fair, no. But it was the epic/lengthly boss fight that turned me off in general (which of course is the main appeal for others). I dunno, for some reason it didn’t jive w/ me in the shooter/TPS context.
EDIT: Actually, I never played the first one either. So if crazy-long boss fights are a series staple, maybe I won’t like the single-player campaign
Well playing with people who are working together makes a HUGE difference both in how the battle turns out and how quickly it ends. Seriously, there is no comparison from playing alone or with randoms who don’t know what they’re doing, and people who do. The whole pace of the game changes
There is an emphasis on big epic boss battles though, but you really should try to get with some people you know and give it another shot.
My thoughts on this.
Speaking of Demon’s Souls, it’s still been hijacking all of my time. Made a knight build with the heavy armor and greatsword. He’s currently like Soul level 83, killing stuff with GS (using Dragon Bone Smasher right now) is so damn satisfying, though it takes serious skill to use it in certain situations. Which is exactly why I love this game, it’s so skill based it’s crazy. Kinda like Monster Hunter in a lot of ways.
