There are games you can’t copy at all, like SF4.
There are games that you can copy, like Infamous but you can’t play unless you make your profile on your friends system and sign in on PSN. That is stupid. You should be able to just play with Trophies disabled if you want to and be allowed to copy whatever you want.

I’m debating beating all the marks in FF13, I mena I don’t even want to fight the last monster now that I know it’s not that giant crazy colossus thing. I think I might just beat the game, get an Ultimate Weapon and go on to RoF.
A lot of games that get released for the 360 also get released for the PS3. Keep in mind though that with the PS3, you get a Blu-Ray player and free online play.
I’m pretty sure everybody in this thread is going to tell you get a PS3. If you hop over to the xbox thread, I’m pretty sure everybody in that thread is going to tell you to get an xbox.
Just get whatever you like. You know what my deciding factor was? I don’t like the xbox360 controller. That’s the only reason I have a PS3.
that was it for you? for me it was also free online play (i don’t care about xbl’s extras), not having to deal with overpriced proprietary accessories, bluray and sony’s first party. to me the majority of 360’s exclusives seem like good pc games but as we all know the 360 is a console and not a pc. the ps3 exclusives on the other hand seem more varied. I will admit there are some choice games on XBLA but that doesnt’ outweigh the benefits of the PS3 for me.
I dont know any xbox 360 owner who hasnt gotten RRoD. Why anyone would buy a 360 is beyond me.
At the time of my purchase, there were actually more games on the xbox that I liked. Mainly the downloadable ones like Castle Crashers which I wanted to play with my gf. Having a blu ray player on my ps3 is meaningless to me mainly cause I don’t have a tv to properly appreciate the quality. I just couldn’t get past how much I disliked the xbox controllers.
So yes, it’s the only reason lol. It all works out now since I can play Little big planet with my gf and castle crashers comes out for PSN eventually any way.
I just had to pay 60 bucks to get my PS3 fixed because it “Over heated.” Least Microsoft fixed my RRoD for free. Sony wanted 160 bucks. Fuck that noise.
Funny you should mention that, since I just read thelatest post in the 360 thread, of someone who’s pretty upset about their system dying again.
I own a 360, but it’s pretty rare that it even gets powered up to be perfectly honest. I went to buy Perfect Dark the other day, which would have been the first exclusive game since uh… Shadow Complex, that I was interested in. Then MS couldn’t process my cards all of a sudden (tried three, one debit and two credit), so I said fuck it and gave up.
Anyway, to the person asking the question… both systems have their pros and cons, but as was said earlier, asking here, you’re most likely to get “PS3” as your answer. Blu-Ray, non-proprietary components, free online, better exclusives (some people will say that’s opinion. those people are idiots. ;)), built-in WiFi, etc etc. “It only does everything.”
Oh, and also you don’t have Head and Shoulders advertisements popping up in the middle of the XMB. (WTF is up with that shit? Spotted it when I was trying to DL Perfect Dark)

Ok, I think my PS3 just DIED! I got home from work, hop on the browser and right after I leave the browser it shuts off. I wans’t even on it for 5 mintes and now I can’t get it to turn back on. It started to work when I tried it again saying I needed ro upgrade my resolution but it shut right back off. Is there a way to fix this? I JUST got this PS3 sent to me new rom sony and it’s dead, WTF.

i feel like XBOX360 die so damn fast compare to ps3. maybe its cuz i hear a lot of my friends own xbox and they whine how it die on them or overheat and all that shit. i already picked ps3 over xbox360 the first day xbox and ps3 came out without checking the pros and cons.
its true the xbox controller suck ass but i can deal with that. what bug me is the overheating consistency. that shit scare me man. heck im thinking of getting warranty when i go out and buy the system.
Any cd-based console can overheat if you dont use it properly. They charged you because the problem was caused by user error/neglect, not bad hardware ala RRoD
I didn’t when I had mine. But I hadn’t used mine since since probably December if not longer so I sold it a few days ago.
I got a ps3 because of late last year and this years line up. Too many good titles came out and I couldn’t ignore them. I ended up enjoying them a lot more than any other games I had, especially Uncharted 1 and 2 (those games will spoil your rotten.)
Plus yeah, free online and it’s a blu-ray player.
