Bought Resistance 2, game is pretty cash. Multiplayer is a blast, but I cant find any ranked matches. 
Do you have it in an enclosed area? This happened to a friend of mine and it was due to overheating since he had it in an enclosed area. Also, you might want to try to blow some dust out of it.
Also, overheating fats should be placed vertically.
Has anyone picked up Heavy Rain? I really don’t play many games on the PS3 but this one looks pretty sick. Wondering if its worth getting.
Also, what is the deal with the Blu-Ray remotes for the PS3? The first one I bought worked for like a week, second one same shit. I finally gave up and just used the controller.
I placed my Wii vertically as to allow my fat to breathe more.

I’ll probably be picking it up soon, I want to play that and Uncharted 2 next. I have heard nothing but good things about Heavy Rain, but some have suggested it might be a good rental because it’s fairly short. However, some people suggest a purchase because of the high replay value.

what? i was assuming that you couldnt copy some saved data because of trophy shiz, so thats why i gave the suggestion of a system stamp on saved data so you copy ANY saved data. so im not sure what your response was about?

You just said placing it vertically blocks vents so heat can’t escape but placing it vertically allows it to cool better…
Either way it doesn’t matter which way you place it because of the fact there’s only 2 areas for heat to escape from. The back of the system where the cords plug in and the side right next to where the disc drive is.
Heavy Rain is great, I beat it in 3 sittings so it isn’t really long.
I have had my Blu-ray remote since it first came out, and never had a problem besides a battery change.

Placing it vertically will put it on the Hard Drive bay, leaving all of the vents exposed.

You’re actually blocking a vent completely by sitting it on its side. Older phats have more vents than newer phat PS3’s. This is because they generate much more heat than newer phats and I believe slims, too. The back sides on older PS3’s fucking roast, I touched the part directly behind the BD drive on one and it was ridiculously hot. Atleast 10X hotter than my new phat model, and this older model was standing upright.
You have to backup everything to a different PS3 for copy-protected game saves to work, and when you use either backup method I’m pretty sure trophies will unlock fine on whatever different PS3/HDD you transferred your shit to.
Just a heads up, Amazon is having an “All Playstation 3 Gold Box Event” on Tuesday, March 22 starting midnight pacific time.
Although it’s unlikely, I’m hoping Resonance gets put up.
