I read the first post, but doubt it gets updated, so here is the mandatory “I just got a PS3 what games should I get” post. I scooped GoW 1&2, and once I beat those I’l lscoop 3, I got Little Big Planet GoTY, and I got the 250 gig model with Uncharted 2 packaged in.
I’m curious what games I should look into, especially easy co-op games (fiance cough cough). I plan on scooping Infamous, and I’m on th fence about Heavy Rain…I hear its a good game, but never hear about it being fun per say. As well are there any PSN exclusive titles worth looking into (I got a 360 w/ Live - scooped this as a Blu-Ray player really). As well, whats the consensus on places for getting Blu-Ray movies?
Fat Princess, a PSN exclusive capture the flag game, with character classes, cartoon looking styled graphics, just got co-op. Amazon has Blu-Ray sales often and a lot of older movies on the format usually drop to around $10; I also use Deep Discount when they have sales.
heavy rain is a rental. Like watching a tv series or a long movie. Not bad, but the $60 tag is tough to swallow.
LBP should cover you for multiplayer.
IMO, find a (cheap) copy of Uncharted 1 before you start up 2. 2 becomes better by contrast. 1 isn’t a bad game, but jesus christ 2 is so fucking amazing.

Actually I stil lhave a question. I’ve never used HDMI cables before…so I’m not sure, what do I want…male to male? And is there any features that ‘are’ important with picking out a cable?
haha, well I actually went ahead and ordered off gut instinct right after I posted. I went for 3 x 8ft’ high speed HDMI, so I can do my 360, my Ps3, and some future device…for what shipping and handling was, it felt a waste to order one or two shrug

now my q, what is the best cable? its gotta be highspeed, right. what else is important?length is personal preference obiously. i dont need it right away, the 50 inch i got only supperts 720p or 1080i. i already have composite cables and they support 720p, thus what my tv can handle atm. also there is no lag at all on my shit.
the cable will never cause the lag, that’s more than likely post processing on your tv. There is a whole thread in tech talk related to HD tv shit, in short there is only 1 kind of HDMI cable, length is preference as you don’t start getting signal degradation up till about 50 feet on most hardware(which i doubt you will ever need one that long lol…). Don’t you mean Component cables? Combosite cables are sd only and will make your shit lag like a mother fucker due to upscaling that your tv does…
Anyways, my personal experience that hdmi picture is generally “cleaner” than it’s analog variant although that could just be my eyes justifying my 5 dollar hdmi cable haha.
quick question to those that picked up RE:5 gold edition: to unlock desperate escape and lost in nightmares what do i have to do?? i thought beating the game once would unlock it but to no avail.
