The Official PS3 thread

Might be the controller or the PS3’s bluetooth antenna/whatever not working. Try testing the PS3 by syncing up a cell phone headset if you have one.

It’s not the ps3’s bluetooth cuz my other controller is working and so is my headset.

Fuck yea. I don;t care that it’s pushed back, canfirmation from the word of God himself that its coming down the road is enough for me.

Disregard my previous post. I overpaid for the privilege of dl’ing Battle Fantasia (even though only 3 other people play it), and I’m on the fence about Gundemonium. I’d go ahead and cop it, but I gotta pace myself with purchases right now, otherwise shit would snowball.

got yakuza 3 with bonus dlc and cd for 30 and will finally be getting demon sould bf edition tomorrow for 40. beats using gf.com when playing ds.

ps3 wireless headset has to be the most uncomfortable headset ever

I agree. I can bear it in 10-15 minute sessions but if it’s in any longer it just begins to hurt (that’s what she said?). Takes forever for me to actually get it sat comfortably on my ear as well.

Got a pair of Astro A40’s on recommendation from Ronin though and they have PS3 Support. Never again will that uncomfortable piece of shit abuse my ears. I gave it away for free.

Another prime example of Sony half assing something that xbox has done better.

Couldn’t seem to find the answer, but how’s MvC2 for PSN? Is it a good download?

Thinking of what to buy from PSN, I got the following already:
Joe Danger (awesome!)
Wipeout HD (MORE awesome!)
Megaman 10 (haven’t played, might want to get MM9 if I like it)
Worms (for me and my younger siblings to party with)
Fat Princess (for the same reason as above, but we haven’t tried it out yet)

Thinking of getting:
The Last Guy
MvC2
TMNT Reshelled…maybe? It looks a bit iffy.

Anything else good I missed out? I know I asked before a few pages back, but maybe something slipped my mind. Maybe Flower.

Well the thing is that you can use any bluetooth wireless headset/device, like the very comfortable Jawbone (which is what I use).

As far as PSN games go, you can’t go wrong with any of the Pixel Junk games. Eden is probably worst of them, but you may like it. Superstardust HD is crack. Flower was ehh to me, but other people seemed to like it.

TMNT was a big dissapointment for me :frowning:

MvC2 : Competition is more fierce on XBLA, and you get punished for ragequitting.

However, the netplay and overall port is better on PS3.

The official PS3 headset, or the Jabra one that comes with Warhawk?

I got all 3 and first impression is pretty good. The up scroll up is pretty unique for bullet hell type shooting game (pretty damn hard while compare to other bullet hell). The side scroll plays ok but I haven’t invested much time on it yet. Will add more once I play more.

A little bit on the up scroll one:
You buy ‘dolls’ (that would be your plane) between stages, and there are 8 dolls with unique shot patterns, from pure melee to pure homing type. No typical bomb but instead you got suicide bombing.

The bullets in this game fly faster than the ones in Raiden most of the time lol btw.

Well it that’s the case then h/u the controller’s USB cable to your PC & try to play. If it works, maybe it’s a battery issue. If it doesn’t work, then maybe the controller’s bluetooth is shot.

I was trying to stream evo using my ps3, but it didn’t work. I get the message saying this application is not supported. But when I go to the ustream site, I could view other streams and such.

Any ideas?

Demon’s Souls is enough to make PS3 my console of the generation by itself. Holy shit.

Truth. Any PS3 owner who still hasn’t picked up Demon’s Souls is missing out on one of the greatest titles of this console generation. Demon’s Souls is such an under-appreciated title (I think it still hasn’t surpassed one million in sales); the game hardly got any exposure until it started blowing the minds off of reviewers.

I do think that reviewers scared a lot of people off by over-emphasizing the difficulty of the game. Yes, it’s a bit more difficult than you’re average game, but it’s not really as difficult as the reviewers made it seem.

Uncharted 2 got a lot of praise for being last year’s Game of the Year, and while I loved Uncharted 2, my personal GotY last year was Demon’s Souls.
