yesterday i purchased a naomi stand up with a MvC2 and CvS2 boards.
before i move it into my house i want to modify it to be a “candy-cab” type, the ones from japan which are sit down.
does anyone have any web pages or instructional databases i can refer to when doing the modification to my cab?
after doing this i want to replace the shitty bat-top sticks and concave buttons with hori parts. finally, i want to hook an XBOX360 up to it, as well as a PC for mame.

I maybe alone in this but for me Naomi Universal cabs look great as a stand up & not sit down version like those other candy cabs.

Why not leave it alone and get tall stools, that way you have both…
I have a chopped and unchopped one and I love them both. I find the unchopped one easier to access the bottom cover hence easier to troubleshoot problems, the chopped is a pita to move out and then open the lid. Just my 2 cents.
i thought about leaving it be, but i find that the “unchopped” one is pretty flimsy (ie it move/wiggles alot when being used). i also see myself sitting down to play it for long periods. stools are kinda uncomfortable.
also it would fit alot nicer in my living space, as well as it would fit nicely when moving etc…

lol. well i’m in calgary, alberta. it doesn’t fit very nicely in my luggage so i don’t think i’ll be bringing it with me anywhere soon.

Got the Blast Cleaned up with Novus 2. Found a NEW VGA Tri Monitor that I will be putting in here along with cleaning the Power supply out. For now though, here’s my blast running UMVC3 (And me being garbage at it) in Pmode.

Panel is wired up to DB25 breakout boards which run to a Project box housing two hacked MadCatz pads. Can’t wait for the new monitor to be in here… Also plan on Bondoing the chips and respraying the whole cab.
Evawingzero we have the same taste in cabs & pins but totally different in fighting games! LOL

What monitor are you planning to use as a replacement? My Blast City has the original Try-Sync Nanao. The burn-ins aren’t noticeable to anyone else but me, but it bothers the living crap out of me. Also, does it have the same curvature as the original monitor?
I’m using a newer Nanao VGA Tri-Sync
